01/29(or 30)/ 2018 {left phone number and hours  with receptionist - # provided Revdex.com is for a business}02/02/2018 [called; receptionist said he is out in the field and gave me his email address. emailed him to contact me by noon on Tues Feb 6, else close}Hi [redacted],Thank you for reaching out and apologies for not returning your call sooner.  I will give your office a call today and answer any questions you may have.[redacted]http://[redacted].com/[redacted]Well, he did return to try and fix this and I believe he did the best he could. The door is presentable, but, it does not meet expectations. It's just average. I'm concerned with what it will look like in the spring.  We will not refer him any more business and perhaps he feels the same about our business. We're not going any further with this and consider it closed. We're not happy with the outcome even after his rework but we do not want to pursue it any further. Thanks for following up with our complaint and discussing it.

You received a complaint from a previous customer of mine from several years ago. I painted a woodgrain effect on Mr. [redacted]'s door two years ago. I used quality exterior materials on his fiberglass door that had been previously treated with a gel stain. The previous treatment was in bad shape due...

to sun damage. I sanded it, primed it and painted the wood grain then sealed it with a spar polyurethane. In less than a year Mr. [redacted], called me to take a look at it. I came out and we decided it should be retouched. It was retouched to his satisfaction and I suggested he keep an eye on it and add more protective poly seal as soon as it would show any signs of change. The door gets a lot of direct sun and gets quite hot to the touch every day. Now the paint has started to look bad again. Mr. [redacted] asked that I come out again and address the door. In the mean time (through this summer) I have been researching and experimenting with some products for similar situations of exterior doors exposed to extreme heat and UV radiation that have been failing. There has been a product change to have most polyurethane products be more VOC compliant and the new products are not holding up in these extreme situations. I did not communicate this with him very well that I was trying some different materials before attempting his door again. That has lead to his frustration that I was putting his project on hold. I realize that he just wants his door done again. I however don't want to keep re-painting his door if it is only going to fail again. I give no express guarantees or warranties on any exterior work. I am trying to help him to maintain my company's reputation. At this point he is irate and difficult to talk with. I feel as though my reputation with him may not be able to be salvaged. This project is far from profitable. I will continue to lose income in trying to repaint this door for free. I have suggested that I would repaint the door with solid color best exterior paint to restore the door to a finished look that might hold up better. All I can do is use the very best materials available and professionally apply them. I have told him I will do this before the end of October 2017, the door should look finished and I will be able to walk away from the project with Mr. [redacted]'s approval. Still after doing so, there will be no express guarantees or understood warranties except those on the paint can, which I will provide to the customer. In eighteen years of business I have never had anyone that I couldn't satisfy. I realize every job leads to the next. I want to maintain a good standing with the Revdex.com. It grieves me that Mr. [redacted] felt the need to trouble you with this matter. I feel that this was unnecessary. I hope to give some resolution to his situation and break the cycle of repainting his door annually.

I had an open complaint #[redacted] that was closed before I could respond to the business's response. The company has not followed up to resolve the issue after the initial call from company following our complaint with the Revdex.com. They reached out and they said they would repaint the door before 31 October. To date I have contacted their office 3 times requesting further information and confirmation of getting the project scheduled. Additionally, I do not agree with the businesses response with regards to their comment about me being frustrated, irate or difficult to work with. I have given the company all of the respect and time to resolve the issue. I have never raised my voice or acted in any unprofessional manner when speaking/coordinating with the business. For the company to say that in their response, and their lack of follow up to resolve the issue, shows they had/have no intention to correct the issue or resolve the complaint. Their initial call came across as a veiled attempt to appease the situation and respond to the Revdex.com. All I asked for was for them to resolve the issue and if they could not, to refer me to a professional contractor that could complete the work. I also never or asked for the work to be completed for free. During my initial calls to the company to resolve the issue, I asked for the company to send me a quoted for the work to be performed because I understand that their time is valuable. I am completely dissatisfied with the company's lack of customer service and support on the issue.
