Alexander Auctions & Real Estate Sales

In December of last year I bid on a rifle that Alexander Auctions had available. I won the auction, paid promptly, and the gun was shipped to my FFL. I paid over $400 for the rifle, plus a shipping cost of $30.43. In the spring of this year when I was able to get to my outdoor gun range I was unable to fire the gun. I took the gun to my local, highly-qualified gunsmith, to be examined. He determined that the trigger mechanism was seized, and work was required to un-seize the trigger. This work cost me $65.25. I contacted Alexander Auctions and requested that they reimburse me the cost of the repair. They refused to do so, citing their "terms and conditions" and stating that they could not possibly test fire all firearms that they auction. Beware that this company will use this as a reason not stand behind the products they sell. Any reputable firearms dealer would make the repair (or in this case, reimburse the cost of the repair) if the gun was not working when first purchased.","neg-1
