Further discussions between Mr. [redacted] and the file handler regarding these storms included an explanation that damage caused by floods, surface water, overflow of streams or other bodies of water are not covered. We were unable to communicate our basis for this position to Mr. [redacted] satisfaction.In an effort to ensure whether coverage could still be afforded, it was determined that we would assign this claim for further handling including an inspection of the facility where the reported damaged occurred. Later on the 14th the file handler assigned this loss for an on-site inspection of the facility to an independent appraisal company. We also emailed Mr. [redacted] to inform him that we had assigned his claim for further handling, including an inspection of the facility and that an estimator would be contacting him.
