Alexandria Lubans-Otto, Attorney, PLLC Reviews (1)

I am so sony that you had to send this letter to us twice. This is the first notice to our knowledge that [redacted]has contacted you regarding
her cleaning. When she called a month after her cleaning, we did offer in good faith a free basic cleaning on us based on the time that had passed...

since the original cleaning. She never contacted us after December 22nd, so I am
ve   surprised to see that she contacted you.OnNovember 7, I contacted Mrs. [redacted] regarding a deep cleaningby text. She originally tried to contactus over theweekend, when we were
closed, to schedule the cleaning. We rearranged our original schedule to fit her in on suchlate notice. At no pointduring our discussion did we discuss the hours it would take to clean
her home, as you will note in our text messages that I have attached to this letter. When I added her to our calendar for the day, I put in an estimation of 18 man hours to start with.Due to the size of her home, thefact that we have only done a basic cleaning of the downstairs, and due to the fact that we have not cleaned sinceAugust, I was unsure of how longwe would need to cleanMrs. [redacted]' home.'.fhe plan was for our housecleaners, [redacted] and [redacted], to work lateinto the eveningto complete the deep cleaning, but when they ended up running behind
schedule, we chose to send a thirdlady, [redacted], to help themcomplete the house.Duringthe cleaning of the masterbathroom, [redacted] reachedup above oneof the mirrors to wash offthe top of the lightfixture with a damp rag to remove the dust build up and cobwebs.Even standing on the step ladder, she was not tall enough to see overthe top of the lights,so she was not awarethat there were loosewires. When shetouched the top of thelight fixture with her
damp rag she came into contact with a loosewire and-she was electrocuted.
The shock was continuous and so strongthat [redacted] wasnot able to let go. [redacted], her partner, tookimmediate action and without thinkingpulled on the arm that was nottouching the lightto remove [redacted]'shold. The currentwas strong enough that [redacted] was electrocuted as well, but she wasable to pull [redacted] away from thelight. [redacted] was disoriented and[redacted] was at a lostto what she neededto do. In the past eight plusyear's that theyhave worked for MaidOK, neither oneof them has had thishappen, so [redacted]called our office to notify us of thesituation. We gavedirection to [redacted]to take [redacted] tothe nearest hospital to get checkedout. [redacted] hadsaid that she was okay and could stay and work, I contacted Mrs. [redacted] first by phone thenby text to tellher all that I couldabout what had transpired. I was notable to go intodetail at the time I text her, because our mainconcern was findingout if [redacted] was all right. We did not receive allthe complete detailsuntil that evening when theyleft the hospital, which were discussed with Mr. [redacted] over the phone the following day. When [redacted] refusedto get checkedout and chose to stay and clean, we made thedecision to sendanother employee, [redacted], to assist [redacted].I sent a textto Mrs,[redacted] that we will returnthe next day if they are not ableto finish. I did not receive a response fromher until later thatevening asking us to contacther husband, whichwe did when we returnedto work the following morning. The hours that each lady spent the day of November 7tli are as follows:
[redacted] five hours, [redacted] three hours, [redacted] two hours 55 minutes, and [redacted] one hour and 45 minutes, which is a total of 12.67 manhours. The following day when [redacted]and [redacted] wentback to finish, they stayed for atotal of threehours and 40 minutes each, which totals 7.34 man hours. This brings the total man hours for the two days to 20.01 man hours. At no point, did we charge for the time [redacted] and [redacted] were-nolonger cleaning in the
home, and even though Mrs. [redacted] alwayspaid $27.50 per mari hour,we gave her a discounted friendsand family rate of $25 per manhour since the ladies were there for so long. After the cleaning was complete on November
8'\ we were-not able to run her card forthe house cleaningand [redacted], the Accounts Receivable Manager, was notable to reacheither Mr. or Mrs.[redacted] regarding the card. On December 6'\ Mrs. [redacted] called our office to give [redacted] a new card to run for the cleaning, which we ran for the amount
of$51l.70, and there was no mention of the deep cleaning or a dispute in the total charge for the cleaning.  Later in the month
on December 22nd  MrJ [redacted] called our office to dispute the charges on her card. She said that she did not understand why she
was charged so much when her house looks the same as it did the day that
they left to go out of town. She said that the dogs hadn't lived there in over a year so they should not have had to
spend a lot of time on the floors or dusting, and she doesn't understand what could have taken them so long.Mrs.
[redacted] also mentioned how they hadn't cleaned the basement. I apologized for the inconvenience and explained that her notes have always said that we do not clean the basement unless she leaves them a note to do
so, and that this was why the girls did not touch the basement. I have attached a copy of the ladies schedule for the day showing this as part of the notes for you to review. I told her that I am so very sorry and I wished she had called us sooner so that we could send someone back out to fix these
things that were missed. I also went on to say that with so much time that has passed since her deep cleaning the only thing that I could offer her in good faith would be for us to comeback out and do a full basic cleaning on us. She was not happy with this statement and said that it was unacceptable, she wanted to speak with the owner and she expects us to refund her for the
cleaning. At this time, the owner was not ayailable, but I explained that I would callt he owner anddiscuss this with her and call her back no later than the next day. After hanging up with [redacted],I called the owner to speak withher regarding Mrs. [redacted]' concerns and whatshe was requesting. A few hourslater, we determined thatafter the extentof time thathas passed, a free basiccleaning on us is all thatwe can offerto her. WhenI called Mrs.[redacted] back, she didnot answer; therefore, I left a message as to whatthe owner andI had discussed, whatwe could offerher in good faith, andthat she can call us with any further questions or
concerns. She never contacted us again regarding tnis matter. Thisis why it comes as a surprise that she contacted you instead.      ·Another surprise is thatMrs. [redacted] statedthat she has security cameras tnat captured the timeof arrival and does notsee how the 20 man hours took place. At no pointwhen she contacted us was this mentioned. We take great pride in being an honest company, and we go to greatmeasures to ensureour employees are following all policies and procedures. If there is an issuewith an employee not giving the correct timein and out of a house, we take it veryseriously. This is the sameas stealing and is nottolerated. As
for Mrs. [redacted] disputed amount of $200, we do not agree to these terms. Due
to the exposed wire in her home, we have covered an $800 medical bill for our
employee without asking Mrs. [redacted] to contribute, and based on the time frame
she waited and how she would not let us return for a full basic deaning on us
in good faith, do we come to this verdict. Our offer still stands for giving her a free basic cleaningon us, but we will not be willing to refund any money. I will be
attaching a copy of all correspondence through text messaging, a copy of the
ladies day sheet showing the notes about her basement, and a copy of the
receipt and bill for the day [redacted] was taken to the hospital.
