I am writing regarding Alexandria Tire Center’s response to my Revdex.com complaint ID [redacted]Alexandria Tire Center failed to offer a solution to my complaint and I disagree strongly with [redacted] assertions.[redacted] did not receive authorization for the repairs from me via the phone or otherwise.I was told that a member of ownership was “not here,” and that I would have to “wait till Monday,” by [redacted]. I was obviously being lied to as I had passed co-owner [redacted] at the front desk. After noticing [redacted] was with a customer I waited to speak with him.I asked [redacted] if he was able to make an “executive decision.” As a co-owner, my hope was that he would be able to put the matter to rest as the only member of ownership present. The question was not sarcastic in nature. As [redacted] was not party to this conversation, it is impossible for her to discern its tone.[redacted] states that “vehicles are not released if not paid in full.” I am not aware of any establishment that holds a vehicle for payment of unauthorized repairs.The fact is I made it clear to “[redacted],” my original sales representative, that I was very cost conscious due to an upcoming surgery. The originally agreed upon price of $515 was/is all that I can reasonably afford.

My son purchased a used Ford truck from them (loan in my name). Not even 4 months later he noticed that the tires were deteriorating and took it to a tire shop where they told him NOT to drive the vehicle because it was too dangerous with those tires. They also told him that the tires could NOT be replaced with the same size tires because they were no longer made by tire wholesalers. His only option was to purchase the original (factory) size tires and rims which they could get him and install, etc. for $1300.
My son called the saleman he dealt with to explain the situation and he gave my son the run-around so I called him and he said he'd talk to his manager and get back to me. He never got back to me but called my son and told him that the only thing they could do was to get him the original size tires and rims and install them, etc. for their cost from their wholesaler which was $1600. REALLY? We're to believe that the tire shop above that was charging $1300 was going to lose $? I'm not thinking so! They were lying and ripping us off.....again.....
The bottom line is that they should NOT have sold the truck to my son with those tires to begin with OR at the very least, they should've made this right by replacing the tires and rims, etc. at VERY little to no cost to my son. They are a disreputable dealership!!!!

responding to ID #[redacted] that occurred on July 24, 2015.We do
not see that a billing adjustment is required in this matter. [redacted] did call
[redacted] on 7/22/2015 and explained what was going on with his vehicle. That
during the alignment adjustments parts were seizing up and braking. We...

were not
damaging parts and braking them. At that time [redacted] agreed to an estimate of
$810.61.And for [redacted] to accuse us
of fraudulent activity is slander. The truth is [redacted] ran his [redacted]
application on the 7/21/2015. Nether [redacted] or [redacted] even looked at his approved
limit til Friday night. We do not make up repairs based on approval balances on
credit cards.[redacted]
claims he was treated with disrespect when he was the one that walked right up
to [redacted] and proceeded to tell [redacted] how he was going to pay his bill while [redacted]
was actually speaking to another customer. [redacted] was escorted outside because
we had other customers waiting for their vehicles that did not need to
subjected to this matter. And you can survey any auto repair shop, vehicles are
not released if not paid in full. And as far as the fact that [redacted] was in the
shop that evening is true, but [redacted] doesn't handle customer complaints and
wasn't there during the conversation earlierin the week when [redacted] was
on the phone with [redacted] when he got authorization for additional repair. [redacted]
did ask [redacted] if he authorized the repairs earlier in the week and [redacted] said I
may have I don't remember "I had surgery". [redacted] sarcastically asked
[redacted] if he could make an "executive decision" or did he have to wait
for his sister.He also
claimed that our dad (previous owner) would havenever treated anyone like
this. Our dad has not been in the business for over 12 years. And in the google
review he goes on about previous employees that we lost lost due to our
unscrupulous and shyster like practices which is an absolute lie. He goes onto
to call us thieves. Who is being disrespectful and slanderous?As far as the billing goes
[redacted] paid our cost on replaced parts. We also did not charge any labor for
replacing the parts. An alignment coupon was applied, there was two $20.00
coupons applied. [redacted] only paid $10.00 labor to have his new tires installed
and all parts replaced. This is more than fair and we do not feel like we owe
him any refund.Sincerely,
