Alex's Tree Service

I want everyone to know you need to ask whoever you get estimates from to have their insurance company to email you directly a copy of their proof of insurance. This company states they are "fully insured". I spent time meeting them and walking throughout the property to find out they are not properly insured as I was told and as advertised. I had to point blank ask them if they had workmans compensation and the answer was no. But insisted they were fully insured. When I asked if one of the workers got hurt on my property who they would be covered. They are not. They sub contract their work out to workers. They are not even employees of Alex's Tree Service. If someone to get hurt on the property, they could sue the homeowners insurance and homeowner. Most people would not know to ask this question and to ask for the insurance company to send an email directly from them with the insurance verification. I was shown a laminated letter. When I asked for the insurance name and phone number, I was not give then either and was told he was sorry for wasting my time. You would think the estimate would be really low due to them not paying workers comp right?..... Wrong, the estimate was twice as much as another one that I received for the same work. And the other company warned me to ask these questions about workers comp and to not accept a piece of paper they show me but to get the insurance company to email me directly. Just beware when you get quotes and estimates to ask the right questions. Even if they did have works comp and it was ligit, they are way overpriced.

Thomas, Alex and the crew removed Bradford Pear Tree and stump (and roots) from the front yard. They also removed a stump in the backyard. The two stump areas were made ready for grass reseeding. Then I had two maple trees that needed a "V" trimming because my lawn was not getting enough sunlight in the backyard. Quick response to message left on voice mail. Thomas provided a very thorough estimate and provided any and all clarity that we needed. Thomas, Alex, and crew were professional, friendly, helpful and great teamwork. The pricing was just right. Scheduling was exceptional; especially do to the several recent storms. They all arrived on time and completed the job on time. They removed all the debris including raking the area. The area was as clean as it was before they started the job. We got to say that Alex's Tree Service provided excellent service. We were 100% satisfied with the completed job. We would very highly recommend and would certainly use them again in the future.

[redacted] came out and gave us a very thorough, detailed quote. He gave us an honest opinion that one tree we thought needed to be removed was actually ok. The price was very reasonable. They confirmed our agreement via email and set a date to complete work. They arrived right on time and started right away. The guys were professional and friendly. They did a great job and left our yard very clean. We are very satisfied with their service and will definitely recommend them in the future.

I had a fire in my home last year, October 31, so the power line has been detached for almost a year. Duke Energy engieer came out to evaluate it then told me that I needed to cut back branches and limbs and have an electrician attach an overhead electrical pole on the house. before they would return to hang a power line, at my expense.

And after the debacles with the contractor (AfterDisaster - look for my review on them later) that is handling my home fire repairs, I decided to search the Revdex.com for a tree cutter (tc) with some credibility.

I contacted three tc's, Thursday, September 1, Mr.Thomas Tree came to see me the same day, He is a wonderful, very nice man, and friendly, he explained what has to be done, and presented the amount,- resonable amount for the job. Then another company came Saturday and was going to charge almost twice as much as Thomas, So I hurried up and setup an appointment with Thomas!! to come Wednesday, September 7.

And he showed up with his partner, Alex, who is also a very nice man & a crew. It was amazing to watch... I tell you those guys put in the work.
