The policy refund, as with all refunds, was scheduled to be issued days post cancellation. Regrettably, a system failure delayed all policy refunds until May 28, 2015. We spoke to Mr*** on June 1, and confirmed he has received his policy refund.

Review: I CANCELED MY HOMEOWNERS AND CAR INSUARNCE WITH THIS COMPANY ON 9/27/13. I WAS INFORMED I WOULD RECEIVE A FULL REFUND ON BOTH BY THE 15TH OF OCTOBER. WHEN THE REFUND DIDN'T ARRIVE I CONTACTED THEM AGAIN AND WAS TOLD MY REFUND WILL BE RETURNED TO ME BY NOVEMBER 23,2013. WHEN I TOLD THEM THAT I CANCELED MY POLICY RIGHT AWAY AND I NEEDED MY REFUND TO PAY FOR MY NEW POLICY WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. I WAS TOLD TOUGH. IT WILL GET MAILED OUT WHEN WE GET TO IT. SHE THEN TOLD ME SHE TALKED TO THE ACCOUNTING DEPT AND THEY WOULD SEND OUT MY REFUND IN 2 WEEKS. I TOLD HER I NEEDED IT OVERNIGHTED SO I COULD GET IT THE NEXT DAY IN ORDER FOR MY OHTER POLICY NOT TO LAPS. SHE TOLD ME THEY ONLY DO THAT IF THEY MADE A MISTAKE. IT WAS THIER MISTAKE. MY POLICY WILL LAPS IF NOT PAIND BY TOMORROW. MY MORTAGE COMPANY PAID ALFA A MONTH AGO FOR MY POLICY.Desired Settlement: I WANT MY REFUND OVERNIGHTED TO ME SO I CAN RECIEVE IT BY OCT 17,2013

A careful review of both policies show the following actions were taken on a written cancellation request dated 10/2/13. Both the auto and homeowner's policies were cancelled effective 10/11/13 and 9/27/13. The appropriate refunds were scheduled for payment A refund check for $[redacted] was issued on 10/15/13 for the homeowner policy, and a refund check for $[redacted] was issued on 10/22/13 for the auto polley. Both checks were mailed to the insured's address of record.

I finally received my refund on my homeowners insurance and I want my full refund for my auto policy of [redacted] which I paid. NOTHING but my full refund will be accepted.

After speaking with [redacted] from the company on 10/28/13 he stated although the customer paid the policy in full, due to the cancellation date of 10/11/13 the customer was issued a prorated refund.

Review: I HAD HOME INSURANCE WITH ALFA ALLIANCE INS FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS WITH NO CLAIMS. BUT TIME FOR ME TO MOVE ON THEN THINGS GET WORSE. I CANCELED MY HOMEOWNERS WITH THIS COMPANY ON 4/29/15. THREE DAYS LATER I GET A CANCELLATION MEMO THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A REFUND. I AM WAITING FOR 2 WEEKS NOTHING SHOW UP IN MY FRONT DOOR. WHEN THE REFUND DIDN'T ARRIVE I CONTACTED THEM AND TALKED WITH THE PERSON NAME'S KENNETH TRAVERS EXT#[redacted] WAS TOLD MY REFUND WILL BE ISSUED TO ME BY MAY 18,2015 AND MAILED OUT.

ON 5/27/2015 I CALL IN AGAIN TO ASKED WHERE IS MY REFUND AND WAS TOLD HAD BEEN SENT OUT ON MAY 18. MY QUESTION IS IN THREE DAYS I GOT A CANCELLATION MEMO THEN HOW COME THE REFUND TAKE TOO LONG TO SHOW UP. I EVEN TOLD THEM THAT I WILL FILE COMPLAINT, THE LADY NAME'S SHARON JUST TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS FINE WITH THAT LIKE NOTHING HAPPEN, SHE DIDN'T EVEN CARE ABOUT IT. SHE ALSO TOLD ME WHY DON'T I CONTACT THE POST OFFICE AND FIND OUT. TODAY 5/28/15 THE REFUND STILL DIDN'T COME.

I WILL CALL THEM AGAIN TOMORROW 5/29/15 AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

WHAT KIND IS BUSINESS LIKE THAT? PEOPLE STILL BUY INSURANCE FROM COMPANY LIKE THIS.Desired Settlement: I WANT MY REFUND PERIOD.
