Alfa TV & VCR Repair Reviews (3)

We repaired the customers vehicle to their specifications They supplied used parts and only had a small budget to work with and it being an older car (1998) with almost 200k miles we did what repairs she needed at that time The ball joint did not need to be replaced and we disagree with the other opinion that it needed repair We do not want to do un-necessary repairs to any vehicle and we replaced parts that were need and were in her budget We did replace the transmission and if that in any way affected the temperature gauge or oil gauge then we would remedy that and we communicated that to the customer We offered for her to bring the vehicle back in and if it was something we caused we would fix it free of charge, but she declined As for the oil leak it sounds as if she over filled the engine oil (the gauge does not read that it is low only that the oil sensor is reading low pressure) and that is where the oil leak is coming from but that is engine oil and we had only worked on the transmission As for the financing we are not involved That is a third party company that she used and talking to other customers all of the payment info is provided to her before she authorized the repairs If not then that is something she needs to discuss with the company that she used for the financing

We repaired the customers vehicle to their specifications.  They supplied used parts and only had a small budget to work with and it being an older car (1998) with almost 200k miles we did what repairs she needed at that time.  The ball joint did not need to be replaced and we disagree...

with the other opinion that it needed repair.  We do not want to do un-necessary repairs to any vehicle and we replaced parts that were need and were in her budget.  We did replace the transmission and if that in any way affected the temperature gauge or oil gauge then we would remedy that and we communicated that to the customer.  We offered for her to bring the vehicle back in and if it was something we caused we would fix it free of charge, but she declined.  As for the oil leak it sounds as if she over filled the engine oil (the gauge does not read that it is low only that the oil sensor is reading low pressure) and that is where the oil leak is coming from but that is engine oil and we had only worked on the transmission.  As for the financing we are not involved.  That is a third party company that she used and talking to other customers all of the payment info is provided to her before she authorized the repairs.  If not then that is something she needs to discuss with the company that she used for the financing.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I declined because the company did not do the repairs requested and messed up my engine causing it to leak. I had someone else come and look at the car to see what happened and to look over the car. The oil leak was caused from the installation of transmission and the ball joint needed to be repaired with a necessary alignment afterwards. The oil pressure sending unit was ripped off from the connection and the ball joint needed to be cut off from the control arm and replaced. You would of also seen that do to the damage of the ball joint my front driver side tire was being damaged. but you all said tires were fine too. So, I am supposed to bring you back my car after all that. I authorized $1500 worth of work. I am the one paying the financing back so money was not an issue as long as it was covered under the $1500 I was approved for. Now I have to pay more out of pocket to fix what was done and not done. From looking at another complaint someone else had a similar issue. I will be taking this up with the financing company.
Sincerely,
