Mr [redacted] has restated his position, and we understand it However the facts that are clear (and undisputed) are the warranty period has expired and he did not seal his driveway as we dictated (He mentioned that water penetrating the concrete doesn't mean it wasn't sealed - actually, that is the very definition of sealing a driveway) Given that he didn't follow the directions to maintain his concrete, we cannot take responsibility To be clear - Alfieri DID NOT install the first driveway, we only installed the driveway in the summer of

We replaced Mr [redacted] 's driveway in the summer of We Sent a letter to Mr [redacted] on September 8th (year after the install) stating that he needs to seal the driveway with Salt Guard WB (which we offered to do for price of $395) to maintain the integrity of the driveway The first time we heard from Mr [redacted] concerning any issues with his driveway was late March of At that time, we visited the home and inspected the driveway and noticed it was not sealed because it was raining at the time and the concrete was absorbing the water He said he sealed the driveway but could not tell me when and he didn't remember what sealer he used Therefore it was clear the driveway had not been sealed according to instructions given at the pre-install meeting in April of as well as the letter sent to Mr [redacted] on September 8th In addition the year warranty has expired Mr [redacted] has speculated that the concrete is faulty, however the opinions that he has received have not been documented by a licensed concrete testing facility Conclusion - Mr [redacted] has ignored maintaining his driveway to ensure the integrity and by his own admission the driveway had no issues for well past the year Warranty period All other driveways in his subdivision that were installed by us and sealed according to our instructions have had no issues Therefore we can not assume any liability for issues with Mr [redacted] s driveway because of his failure to maintain his driveway as explained at the group meeting in April of (which he chose not to attend), and documented again with the letter on September 8th Mr [redacted] has implied that there is a pattern of negligence with our company - this is the FIRST and ONLY time we have replaced his driveway We understand another concrete contractor originally installed the driveway when the house was built

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I was out of town when the second driveway was poured and had no meetings with anyone about the after care of the concreteThe fact that they have poured over new driveways in my neighborhood and poured my second one should make them liable to come test the concrete! I have had several concrete people come out and look at my concrete with over years of experience in the field for great lakes construction and immediately upon viewing the concrete came to the conclusion that it was bad concrete of faulty finishing which is on alfieri to remedyI did seal my driveway and the fact he says it was raining and soaking into the concrete does not mean it was not sealedLook at the time sealant lasts on drivewaysTheir refusal to take responsibility for their faulty concrete or work so be disheartening for any of their customersNo driveway or any other concrete should look like mine after that amount of time...once again I did not neglect my driveway the only neglect was letting this company do the work!!? They are ultimately responsible to test it and remedy this situation.

We replaced Mr. [redacted]'s driveway in the summer of 2016.  We Sent a letter to Mr. [redacted] on September 8th 2017 (1 year after the install) stating that he needs to seal the driveway with Salt Guard WB (which we offered to do for price of $395) to maintain the integrity of the...

driveway.  The first time we heard from Mr. [redacted] concerning any issues with his driveway was late March of 2018.  At that time, we visited the home and inspected the driveway and noticed it was not sealed because it was raining at the time and the concrete was absorbing the water.  He said he sealed the driveway but could not tell me when and he didn't remember what sealer he used.  Therefore it was clear the driveway had not been sealed according to instructions given at the pre-install meeting in April of 2016 as well as the letter sent to Mr. [redacted] on September 8th 2017.  In addition the 1 year warranty has expired.  Mr. [redacted] has speculated that the concrete is faulty, however the opinions that he has received have not been documented by a licensed concrete testing facility.  Conclusion - Mr. [redacted] has ignored maintaining his driveway to ensure the integrity and by his own admission the driveway had no issues for well past the 1 year Warranty period.  All other driveways in his subdivision that were installed by us and sealed according to our instructions have had no issues.  Therefore we can not assume any liability for issues with Mr. [redacted]s driveway because of his failure to maintain his driveway as explained at the group meeting in April of 2016 (which he chose not to attend), and documented again with the letter on September 8th 2017.  Mr. [redacted] has implied that there is a pattern of negligence with our company - this is the FIRST and ONLY time we have replaced his driveway.  We understand another concrete contractor originally installed the driveway when the house was built.

Mr. [redacted] has restated his position, and we understand it.  However the 2 facts that are clear (and undisputed) are the warranty period has expired and he did not seal his driveway as we dictated.  (He mentioned that water penetrating the concrete doesn't mean it wasn't sealed - actually, that is the very definition of sealing a driveway)  Given that he didn't follow the directions to maintain his concrete, we cannot take responsibility.  To be clear - Alfieri DID NOT install the first driveway, we only installed the driveway in the summer of 2016
