[redacted] Please See Attached Documents [redacted] Revdex.comPO Box Dupont, WA 98327Phone: 206-431-2222November 12, 2015Subject: Customer Complaint for Alfine Laundromat - ID [redacted] .- Summary of Complaint: trim colour of comforter cover was changed Attachments: 1) Amazon web page for Comforter cover- pages 2) Photo of Purchase order of comforter coverDear Mr [redacted] .We appreciate your kind letter dated October 27, to address subject customer complaint to us.We laundered Ms [redacted] 's clothes as a drop-off service on September 15, One of the laundry items was comforter cover, which is the subject of the complaint.It is very regretful that we had that kind of customer complaint.I would like to explain why Ms[redacted] 's claim was declined by us below.Our drop-off laundry service is bulk laundry, not item by item laundry service such as dry cleaner providesLaundry of Ms [redacted] 's clothes was performed at our store on September 15, 2015, which was Wash-Dry-Fold serviceShe picked her laundry including disputed comforter cover on same day.Approximately one month later, she came back to our store on October 22, and claimed our responsibility for the discoloration of comforter cover trimShe submitted pictures and proof of purchases to usThe proof of purchase was a order sheet of a comforter cover from Amazon Website which was dated September 20, It was not proof of old comforter cover which trim was discoloured.MrH***, who she spoke to next day, was a manager of our store and I, as a owner, asked him to help with this issueUnfortunately I was out of town at the time.Here is the reason why her claim of $compensation for colour change was declinedDiscoloration of Comforter covers trim.Comforter cover looks like 'Pinzon Hotel Stitch 400Thread Count One hundred Egyptian Cotton Sateen Duvet Cover' of Amazon soldThis product has square shape embroider decorative trim stitched with thread around cover(Please see attached Amazon website papers for photos)Yes, discoloration, bleed of colour, of stitched decorative trim can happen after water wash, especially if it is cotton product.We see lots of colour bleed , sometimes accompanied with thread fraying, for clothes, comforters, or sleeping bags, especially imported from some of Asian countries, after water-washedThis is directly related to dye quality of the cotton productsSome kind of cloth materials such as nylon is extremely hard to get discolouration.We use just commercial soap for washing of our customer drop-off laundryUsually it is very safe for colour of clothPer our past experience, we decided that discolouration of comforter cover trim came from bad dye quality of base materialThere is a great possibility of discolouration even for new comforter cover if it is washedClaimAs we explained above, this discolouration should be a quality issue of product itself, not by water washingTherefore, claim should have been directed to the retailer which sold this comforter coverWe all understand that USA has very advanced merchant system, which enables us to easily return any products in case customer is not satisfiedThis was exactly what MrH [redacted] tried to emphasize to MS [redacted] .I hope above explanation would be accepted by you and Ms [redacted] .If not, we would reimburse laundry expense, dollars, of that comforter cover as a courtesy to our customerWe would appreciate it if she presents us with receipt of old comforter cover.Sincerely yoursSungTae M*Alfine Laundromat [redacted] **Bothell, WA
