Brought my GMC Terrain in for servicing and on 2 different occasions I had to call back to complain of oil dripping onto my garage floor. The first response was "Don't worry, it's just resdual oil from the oil/filter change. The second time I got a little irritated, so the service writer had me bring the car back in. Another inconvenience. Service Mgr. apologized and told me an 'O' ring was not replaced as it should have been. They promised the next service would be free and that they would detail the car for me.

The third time was a 50K mile service costing over 600 dollars. One of the items on the checklist was transmission fluid change.

After two days, my wife was driving over Altamont Pass when the transmission "overheat" light came on. She pulled over and called for a tow truck in the middle of rush hour traffic. Over two hours later the tow arrives at the dealership. Of course the service dept. is now closed. The tow driver started to off load the car and brought to my attention the underside of car covered with transmission oil.

As of this writing the service writer called and apologized (again) for the inconvenience and muttered something about a faulty machine in their shop that performs the trans. oil change. I've lost faith in Alfred Matthews and will not use their services again. I will, however, monitor transmission function should the overheat condition have caused internal damage to friction discs inside the trans. Alfred Matthews Service Dept. is not dependable and hopefully they will refund the over 600 dollar service fee.
