[redacted] had been a customer of Algas since October 17, 2002. He had been provided
with 150 pound cylinder which holds approximately 35 gallons of propane. Since August of
2009 this account has been chronically past due and has not had a zero balance. On May 16,
2013 a delivery was made...

to the [redacted]s, on ticket #[redacted]. The delivered amount and previous
balance came to a total of $74.86. On November 23, 2013, a payment of $50.00 was made on the
account via MasterCard credit card leaving a balance of $24.86. Since November 2013, several
statements have been mailed to [redacted], the last of which was July 22 2014, without a
response. On or about August 5, 2014, our office fried to contact the [redacted]s via phone with the
three numbers we had on ifie but each line was disconnected.
On August 6, 2014, our service truck was sent to the [redacted]’s residence to retrieve our
equipment- the Propane cylinder, regulator and concrete slab the cylinder was sitting on. On
the afternoon of August 7, 2014 our office received a phone call from [redacted] asking if
we had taken the Propane cylinder and she told that it was because the account was over 15
months past due. She continued to ask why, she was told that statements were sent and that
there was no response. Mrs. [redacted]s then said that her husband probably got them, which they
were divorced and he told her that all the bifis were paid. We also told her that our office tried
making contact by phone and she told us that all the phone numbers we had were changed.
Mrs. [redacted]s asked why we didn’t leave a note or something on her door and was told that it is
very expensive to run a truck that far, the account is always past due and it would be better for
us and her to find another supplier. She told us that she wanted reimburse for a full cylinder of
gas and was told that there wasn’t a full cylinder returned, it would be weighed to determine

...
the amount in the cylinder less the $24.86 balance and the service fee of $48.00 to transport the
cylinder, labor to weigh the cylinder and clerical fee to process the paper work.
Mrs. [redacted]s began to complain about our service and what we charge for Propane, she then
stated that she’s on social media and would tell everyone about us. She was told go right
ahead, I can get on social media also. Mrs. [redacted] continued complaining and was promptly
hung up on. Within the next five minutes, Mrs. [redacted]s called our office at least four times
and was told on the last call that if she continued to call and harass, we would call to report it.
The cylinder returned from [redacted]s was weighed and contained 65 pounds of
Propane, which amounts to 15.3 gallons. The dollar amount of the returned Propane is $63.69.
The balance [redacted] owes, $24.86, plus the service fee $48.00 and $2.88 sales tax totals
to $75.74, less the credit of the return of $63.69, leaves balance due of $12.05.
Mrs. [redacted]s has also filed a complaint with Revdex.com and copy of this letter wifi
be forwarded to them. Enclosed are copies of the delivery ticket from May 16, 2013, the receipt
from payment on November 23, 2013 and history of account dating back to 2009.

Review: One wendsdays of this past week I came home to find I had no propane! I thought it was stolen! I have dealt with Algas for many yrs and never had an issue with them.. They come once ever 3 months and fill the tank.. The last time they were here was in mid may. I had a full tank. While it is true I did have a lg tank and there is only me here and I seldom need much gas I STILL need it. And the full tank belonged to me... I paid for it. Minus the $24.00 left on my account. He took the tank without notice or refund to me for the amount of gas in it! When I called to talk to them them were rude and made threats about putting my account info on Facebook. I made 4 attempts to ask if he would be refunding me the amount of had he took minus my 24 dollars, I didn't get anything from them but hang ups and I was told if I kept calling the would call the police! I understand that I did not buy enough gas to make it worth his trip down .. As he put it.. But why didn't he simply replace my lg tank with a smaller one? Not just take it! Isn't that gas I paid for? He could have done that and given me a refund for the difference. Instead I got two people that are suppose to be business people screaming at me on the phone..threading me If I said I would tell people on my Facebook page about his bad business practices. The lady that got on the phone at one point said that she knew my name and my address! What does that mean!? Can you help me recover the money for the tank of gas?Desired Settlement: I would like them to weight the tank and refund my unused gas I could not after this do business with this type of people. And I do plan to let people know how I was treated. I also contacted the attorney generals office. While talking to people about this issue I was told I am not the first person they've done this to. If you don't buy enough gas they come take the tank!

Review: An Algas propane tank was located on my property, which was not requested by me or was I under any type of contract with Algas. Algas made a service visit, that was not authorized by me, to the property in 8/13 and topped the tank off. A 90 day overdue notice was received in February 14 for the amount of $130, which I refused to pay for an unauthorized service. This was the first bill/notice that was received from the time of service. On the 90 day notice it informed me that if the balance was not taken care of prior to April 11 that Algas would be picking the tank up on that day. When the account was not settled Algas picked the tank up on April 22; 11 days later than stated on the notice. They are now refusing to reimburse me for the propane that was in the tank prior to them servicing.Desired Settlement: Since Algas is refusing to settle the difference I requested for the remaining propane that I had paid for in the tank I am requesting storage fees for the tank that was on my property and not under contract with myself, the property owner or any resident within the household. The tank was on my property from 10/31/09 - 4/22/14 (1,634 days @ $1/day) the amount of $1,634 is requested.
