Ali Baba Middle Eastern Restaurant

The restaurant is a rip off. My husband and I decided to celebrate our Anniversary at Ali baba, the waiter was the manager (Sam) at first he said we cant open our alcohol and we have to purchase from there. I asked him do you have the same alcohol he said no I explained to him I cant drink anything else he said he will do an exception and only charge us $18 dollars in which we all agreed after the party I realized he charged us $80 dollars he started giving us attitude that we all heard wrong. Really??? They do the same thing to everyone. I will never go to this restaurant again. They are liers and very poor customer service.

Review: Two complaints. The first is that they surreptitiously charge extra for certain additions without telling you. Specifically, I have ordered food and been asked "Do I want fried onions on it" - they cost extra, but nowhere on their menu does it mention onions costing extra and they do not tell you it costs extra. Indeed, they frame it as one might ask "do you want ketchup with that" - no indication it costs money. I submit that they must either tell you it costs extra when they suggest it and/or have it on their menu that it costs extra.Secondly, and more seriously, they refuse to give receipts on demand. It is official store policy not to give you a receipt on demand - they don't even have a receipt printer. They offer to *send* you one only if you hand over personal information such as your telephone number or email address, and then it is electronic only. This is illegal, plain and simple. Privacy issues aside (and it is a violation of privacy to demand your contact information to release to you a document you are legally entitled to), they thus discriminate against people who do not have access to technology - if you have no phone and no internet, you couldn't get a receipt even if you agreed to surrender your contact info.Desired Settlement: I want them to list their prices and offer printed receipts - ie, I want them to abide by the legal and ethical rules which govern doing business in the United States.
