Enclosed please find the client's original, signed contract with our company detailing the work that was pre-arranged to be completed for her and the cost which we agreed upon for said work, as well as the detailed letter sent to her recently to advise of impending collections actions. This
letter was refused by Ms*** and returned to our office, so she has not yet viewed the contents of said letter, but was advised in an e-mail to her prior to that certified mailing that she was about to be sent to collections if she continued refusing to pay, which is likely what prompted her complaint to the Revdex.com.We have been in communication with this client and available for communications with her since her work was completed, so the claims that she has been unable to reach us and we were non responsive are simply not true. We have one owner, Rachel M***, in the office full time, Mon-Fri between the hours of 8am - 5pm, along with a full time assistant for those same days and hours. The other owner, Dustin M***, along with other arborists from this firm were present and working on her job the day of her work, although she failed to be home to monitor the progess since she claimed that her boyfriend (up the street) could keep an eye on things for her. He paid his bill upon the completion of his work with no problem, but we never heard from *** until a follcall was made to her to let her know that she still had an outstanding balance more than days after her work was finished. Incidentally, her boyfriend's brother hired us to do work at his home several weeks after and made no mention of anything being wrong and paid his bill promptly as well, which seems odd. Generally when someone feels that they have been wronged by a contractor, they let people around them know so that no one else makes the same mistake. If she truly felt as though we didn't do the work for her that was billed, why didn't she say anything to anyone else around her?This client received many phone calls and past due notices. For whatever reason, she doesn't want to pay for her bill, but never let us know in a timely fashion that she was unhappy with any part of her work, otherwise we would have made a prompt return visit to correct the source of her dissatisfaction. She didn't offer to try to resolve anything related to this bill until after she had already hired another company to trim on the trees, which now makes it impossible to prove what we did and what they did.We will not settle for half of her amount due given the circumstances. We have a solid case for collections activity and she can feel free to dispute this matter further with our outside agency, as she was advised that once this matter is turned over to them, we can no longer communicate with her directly about the case. The certified letter that was sent to her by our firm on 5-26-was returned to us as unclaimed on 7-7-after attempts were made by the US Postal Service to deliver it to her address on record. She will be turned over to collections by the end of this month
