In response to Mr*** issues I offer the following. I talked to the people involved at the body shop and they say that Mr*** did authorize to have the spot repaired. Since this is a matter of what was said I would like to ask what he feels is fair to repair this
area? The rear defrost wire was inspected by ourselves and the *** *** representative and it was deemed as caused by age and deterioration not by any of our workmanship. The diagnosis for the belt squeak was given in good faith. If Mr*** had repairs done other than what we diagnosed and it fixed his problem I would just ask for a copy of that repair bill and I will consider it for reimbursement. I also understand that State Farm has asked that the car be taken to another body shop for a second opinion. We of course would reevaluate the situation once that is done

Talked with *** ***....he was under the impression that Mr*** would accept *** as full settlement I offered to write and get a confirmation

As long as the body repairs to my vehicle are taken care of between Jack Maxton and *** *** (which should be a different issue), I will gladly resolve this complaint for the settlement of ***. I believe the body repairs have already been accepted so this settlement will cover everything else except the body repairs that still need attention Please mail the check to the address provided below:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

Actually I'm kind of confused.  Someone states I gave permission to fix the spot in question when I never spoke to anyone except the receptionist until I picked the car up.  If I gave permission then why deduct anything off of the bill in the first place.  I guess this will just be a he said she said issue (Just bad business practices if yo ask me).  As far as the wire goes its a small cost out of pocket ($25) that has already been addressed as I don't want my car to burn to the ground since they left a lot of bare wire exposed.  Small cost to pay as well to lose my business.  As for the service done to my car, what was posted is very unclear.  It is considered for reimbursement if I have receipts of the work done.  What work is in question here?  I have 2 repair bills.  The first bill I have is fixing what the Jack Maxton service center told me the problem was and the second bill is for actually fixing what was wrong with the car(which was stated to service man who I dropped the car off to).  Not only did I state to the service man what was wrong with the car.   I also told him specifically what I wanted fixed, just to find out what was originally quoted to me for a price increased by more than double and come to find out a bill for diagnosis for the wrong thing.  If this was a diagnosis in good faith then why was I even charged for it when I did not even ask for this to be done.  Seems like a broken record here with this establishment.  You ask for something and they do something else in return without telling you.  I would be more than happy to settle this dispute for reimbursement of the cost for fixing the service issues on the car seeing how the misdiagnosis cost me around $200 and the actual work to fix the car cost around $600.  I have original receipts of all parts and labor done to the car that I could supply to anyone at the Jack Maxton establishment.  To top off this complaint, when I had originally posted this complaint my car was still sitting at the body shop.  Since I was told to specifically remove my car from their lot in a nasty message left on my phone, I have recently took my car back into custody.  As stated by Jack Maxton I have decided to take the car to another body shop to finish up the repairs, as I gave them 3 opportunities to fix the car correctly.  Upon picking the car up the list noted is what was still not fixed on the body (overspray all over the car, masking tape that was painted over on 2 different panels leaving tape lines in the paint, a hair in the paint in the middle of a panel that was painted over, 2 other damages on panels that were not there when the car was dropped off, spots that were touched up with a brush, one area that was shown 3 times that was never attempted to fix, I have paint peeling off both rocker panels that were painted, and to top it all off I think they forgot to plug my window back in after they painted my door as it will not go up and down now).  I would say the last one is pretty novice but I will not put anything past now as I had a tail light installed upside down on one occasion picking the car up.  We will see what comes out of the repairs done at the other shop, but I just wanted this displayed as so other customers can see what I have had to face with this establishment.  I took the car to 3 different body shops getting different estimates of the repair work still needing to be done. Two of the three body shops (preferred to me by my insurance company) wouldn't touch it, and the 3rd gave an estimate of $6500 to fix the repairs still needing to be done from the Jack Maxton body shop.  This is a far cry from the original $2900 estimate done by Jack Maxton.  In conclusion, all I want is my car to be done correctly and no corners cut with it.  I only get to drive this car during the nice months as it is put up for the colder ones.  I have not been able to enjoy the car at all this year having to deal with this shop.  The service complaint started in February and the body shop since July.  Here it is nearing November and my car still isn't done right.
