This is [redacted] from All About Automotive II inc. in reference to complaint ID#[redacted]. [redacted] states in his statement that his vehicle was towed off the property.Once the vehicle is...

off the property the person claiming the vehicle most pay a removal fee of $125.00 plus tax. I spoke to [redacted] he stated to me he parked his vehicle at 7-eleven at [redacted] and went to a store across the street when he came back his vehicle was being towed and he only pay $68.00. He did not know what date he was towed. He stated some time in February. I am looking thru February paperwork and have yet to find any record of his vehicle being towed

Review: My vehicle was towed by [redacted] on 8/**/14 @ 9:40 PM EST. He asked me to pay him $136.00 on the spot to release my vehicle but when I refused to give him the money right away (not alot of people walk around with $136.00 in there pocket)he lifted my vehicle from the back and broke my front bumper of the vehicle.Desired Settlement: They need to repair the damage that one of their workers did and teach them some manners.

Review: Me and my friend with her 10 y.o. son were heading to the theatrical show when she asked me to stop by at the corner of [redacted] at the nail salon to quickly do her nails. There is a frozen yogurt place right across the street, so the kid asked me, if we can jump there first, so he'll be having his yogurt while his mom will be doing her nails. We parked the car next to the nail place and went to get him that yogurt and whithin 5 minutes my car had being towed away by evacuation track. We ran back to ask, what's going on and to explain the situation, but the driver of that track was extremely rude, refused to give his name, wrote a ticket which was twice the price shown on the sign next to the salon, he was referring to. He also told, that for some weird reason we had to go to the salon first and then to the yogurt place and he did not care, that it'd only take us few minutes. The day was ruined, sure enough, we did not stay for my friend doing her nails, also we had no time to deal with the situation because we were late for the theatrical show and we just left. I feel insulted and robbed. Looked like that evacuation track was waiting there to pick up my car. I feel helpless and nasty about this situation... After this incident I checked on-line reviews for this buisiness and sure enough that is THE “business practice” of the company in question. I am just wondering if all the busnesses around are aware of “lost business opportunities” for them because of some greedy business owner that want to get paid by desperate customers who have to get their car back on a spot. I have all the proof of this company wrong doing – pictures and receipts. Also my friend is ready to confirm all the above details I provided. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do in order to make this company stop “robbing” and insulting people around Brooklyn and costing surrounding businesses their potential customers along the way.Desired Settlement: I want All About Automotive II Inc. stop robbing and insulting people around Brooklyn and costing surrounding businesses their potential customers along the way. I also think that the owner have to be held accountable for his company misconduct.

In regards to your complaint, we will like to explain that we are a towing company and have absolutely nothing to do with private properties managers. We only respond to owners or their property managers upon their request of a vehicle removal. We are saddened to know your day was ruined, however you must addresse to their property managers or owners are or any complaints. We only go when they request us to.

As far as drivers being rude or infinite we will further investigate what driver was it and he/she will be reprimanded accordingly. As for that is not acceptable for any reason whatsoever. They must be respectful, truthful and courteous at all times. We thank you for letting us know of such bad experience with driver and we will act accordingly.

Thank You

Review: Vehicle was towed off a lot but instead of being charged the lowest amount the tow truck driver charged me the highest amount and refused to give me a receipt after I paid the the amount in cash. I attempted to complain to the dispatcher at his company who refused to give me his name and hung up on me twice. I feel that this company is running a bully scam against the public and NYS DCA [which I filed a complaint with also] should investigate their tactics. Thank You in advance.Desired Settlement: New York City Department of Cosumer Affairs start an investigation into this company.

Review: on 7/*/13 I parked my car in the shopping area located at [redacted] to go to the Florist there - I am a regular customer of 4 of the stores in the mall. I walked to the corner to drop books at the library and immediately returned to go to the store and within 2 minutes my car was hooked up to a tow truck. Apparently they sit in the area and have a look out they call the "property manager." There is no sign at the entrance of the parking lot telling that cars will be towed if you leave the area - only in a blind spot on the side and the exit. The tow truck driver would only release my car for $136 CASH. I ran home and got the money...I asked him who I was paying and he said "me" - he would not give me his name but I did FINALLY get a receipt from him. It was like blackmail. Talking to store owners there and across the street this is ongoing. They do not tow to a pound but drop cars off a few blocks away - they use a "jimmy" to open car doors - not exactly legal. I am sure the "property manager" gets a nice kick back. I do have a receipt from the florist.Desired Settlement: I would like a cash only refund and for this illegal racket to stop harassing me and my neighbors.

To whom it may concern:

In regards to your complaint, I will like to explain that we are a towing company. We do not have property managers or look -outs on any private properties. Our company only services private properties only when requested by owners or their property managers on such locations. In references to signs posted, we did sent a supervisor to inspect property, and in fact there are six (6) signs posted on property. As far as price, yes the drivers charged accordingly. That is $125.00 plus tax of 11.09 which equals $136.09 Also be advise that drivers was advise to turn around and bring vehicle to you only as per your request. Your vehicle was on way to pound when you called and requested to bring your vehicle back. As far as driver being rude we do apologize and we will take action accordingly as for all drivers must be polite and courteous at all times.

Thank You!

Review: I am 100 percent handicapped and Was parked in the handicap Parking lot of [redacted] at [redacted] x [redacted] in [redacted].

At this location is a self proclaimed plain clothes parking lot manager that is spotting cars for All About Automotive II and calling them to tow cars from the parking lot while patrons are getting their food. This aforementioned man had all About Automotive LL tow my car away even though he had seen that I was handicapped when I got out of my car and followed me into the bathroom of [redacted]. This is on [redacted] videotape. I called the police and they had my car returned. The tow truck driver would not give me my car until I paid him $136.00. The Police officer and his Sargent of the police department told me to file a complaint. On this same day June **, 2014 I spoke with [redacted] management and [redacted] corporate management and they spoke with All About Automotive II. All About Automotive II agreed with [redacted] and myself that they would reimburse my $136.00. This situation happened on 6-**-14 and [redacted] and I have spoken with [redacted] at All About Automotive II several times; and they still have not returned my money---first excuse was they had wrong address and [redacted] emailed them my address, then they said it got lost in mail, then they were supposed to sent it certified... Now they want me to pick it up at their location which is in a bad part of Brooklyn. [redacted] and All about Automotive II know I live over 60 miles from their locations. All About Automotive II is not dealing in good faith and it is now Six weeks since they promised to reimburse me.Desired Settlement: I want All About Automotive to stop the games; and mail me a check "imeadeately" in my name in the amount of $136.00 as they promised they would.

Review: I was shopping at [redacted] on [redacted] ave which is less than 2 blocks from my home. I have a [redacted] which was in my car window at the time. As I drove around the parking lot to look for parking. There were other cars parked in the [redacted] spots that DID NOT have [redacted] in there windows or on the license plates of the cars. I parked as close as I could to the store but not in a lined spot because all the spots were full in the parking

Lot. The only other spots that were available were government only spots and I knew I couldn't park there. There were no signs posted anywhere that said there was no parking where I was parked. I was in [redacted] no more than 15 mins and when I came out I saw my car was not where I parked. As I was walking closer to the spot where my car was, a man asked was it the Benz ? I said yes. He said I maybe able to catch the tow truck guy he just pulled out. I rushed with my [redacted]. That's my [redacted] problem a very [redacted] reached the man in the tow truck who's name is [redacted]. He said I need $ 136 to unleash the car. I asked him why the car was being towed. He said he got a call over his radio and he came and hooked the truck. I tried to explain to him the above information. He said if I want I can speak to the property manager which he also went to explain does not belong to [redacted]. He radio for the property manager and here comes the same man that I passed by in the parking lot. He wasn't any help and he didn't give me his name. I also explained to him the above information of why I parked where I parked. I then asked him why wasn't the people who don't have [redacted] tags on their cars not being towed? If they are parked illegally they get to sit there and park the way they want, while the [redacted] person who is supposed to be parking there can't, so I get towed but not the illegal parked cars. He proceeds to walk away. I didn't have a regular credit card on me all I had was my [redacted] card so I asked the driver if he could drive in front of my house that was less than 600 feet away from where he was parked and so that I can go in my house and get a credit card for him. He told me no. I explained again that I am [redacted]. He did not drive I front of my house, so I had to walk back to my house get the card and walk back to the tow truck. The driver also told me I can speak to his supervisor. I called the supervisor and explained everything to him as well. He was rude and didn't help the situation at All. I do not know his name . These men are running a scheme to make a quick dollar. My incident happened 2:40 pm. I went back outside about 10 to 15 min later and this same tow truck has another car hitched to the tow truck. The man who asked me about my car is walking around the parking lot scouting cars and radio for the tow truck who is parked around the corner. This is not where the tow truck company is located. The company is in another zip code that's not around the corner from the [redacted]. This company is looking for quick money and they are getting it with bad business dealsDesired Settlement: This company should be investigated on their practices. The man who is scouting cars should have charges put on him. There should be signs place where cars cannot park. Cars that DO NOT have [redacted] plates should be ticketed or towed. The name of the property management should be posted in the parking lot.

Sincerely,

Review: On 10/**/13, I received a call from [redacted] stating that, they received a call from a tow truck company informing them that my vehicle 2008 QX56 Infiniti was being towed out of the NYCHA parking lot. The representative asked the person making the call how did they know I had [redacted] insurance. The person who did not identify themselves or state what company they worked for said that, they entered my vehicle and found my insurance card. [redacted] repreentative did not have any further information to provide me. I immediately went to thelocation where my vehicle was parked and called 911. Once the two police officers arrived I explained to them what happened and they proceeded to try an locate my vehicle. While in the presence of the police I called NYCHA development and asked them what is the name of the tow truck company they are afflilated with. Housing assistant, [redacted] said to call ALL ABOUT AUTOMOTIVE INC. I telephoned the company to inquire about my vehicle. The employee that answered the phone stated yes, I see your vehicle on the flat bed. I asked the person for the name of the driver. I explained that the driver went into my vehicle and I wanted to know why. The staff member replied, He was not suppoe to go into your vehicle, then said I do not know who the driver is. I asked for the address and stated to the person on the phone that I was on my way. I told the officers that I located my vehicle and asked if they would give me a report tating that I called them and that the tow truck company entered my vehicle. I was informed that it was nothing they could do and that I would have to wait to check my vehicle to see if any of my belonings were missing. I got to the establishment and asked for the driver who towed my vehicle. The staff became very uncooperative and refused to identify the driver who towed my vehicle. After I spoke with a staff member who refused to give his name I informed him that the driver went into my vehicle. He replied, let me find out why. He than stated that "maybe I had the emergency break on." I said, nope. He said, oh "maybe." he had to put the vehicle in Neutral. I then again requested to speak with the driver. The staff became very hostile and aggressive and continue to state that they did not know who the driver was. I paid the $139.10 and gave my key to get my truck out of their lot. One of the employees drove my vehicle out of the lot and parked it in the middle of the street blocking traffic. I got in my vehicle to move out of the way of traffic, parked directly across the street from the establishment to inspect my vehicle. I got out of the driver side and immediately noticed a dent on the driverside back panel over the wheel. I took pictures and called 911. I did not walk across the street to approach the employees because they were already aggressive and hostile. I waited across the street from the establisment and waited for the police to arrive. When the police arrived they too stated that it was not a criminal act therefore, they could not provide me with a police report and sugg4ested that, I make a complaint with the Revdex.com and take the company to small claims court. The offier reviewed the receipt where it shows that there was a scratch on the bumper when the vehicle was loaded. However, the damage above the wheel on the driver side had not be indicated on the receipt. The officer commented, "clearly the company is responsible for the damage." I explained to the officers that I did not go back to dispute the incident because the employees were aggressive and disrespectful. The officer commented that, I should not get into a dispute with themjust take them to court. I then reached out to my insurance company [redacted] to inform them of the situation. After given all details of the event. [redacted] telephoned All About Automotive and they denied any damages and would not take ay reponsibility for damage to my vehicle. I have pictures showing that I did not move from the establishment when I noticed the damages. Also, 911 will have transcripts of the call I made outside of the establishment stating that the company damaged my property and the employees are being aggressive and hostile.Desired Settlement: I have an appointment with my insurance company on Monday 10/**/13 for repairs. I want All About Automotive to pay for ALL repairs.

Review: All About Automotive is the type of "business" that the Revdex.com was founded to protect people from. My vehicle was towed by them on Monday, July [redacted] 2013 around 2:00 pm for a "blocked driveway". They towed the vehicle while I was at work, so when I returned from work later that night around 8:45pm and could not find my car, I called the police and reported a stolen vehicle report. I checked the website online that tells you if your car was towed or not as did the officer that took my report. There was no report given that my car had been towed. During the next week I was extremely worried about where my vehicle was, and I had filed an insurance claim with GEICO, thinking my car was gone forever. A week goes by, and on 7/**/13, I receive a call from a very unprofessional man who asked if the car they had in their lot was mine. After verifying it was my car, he said that it had been at their towing yard for the past 7 days! I asked why the car had not been reported to police and or myself before this period, and he claimed that they reported it to police, and that it was not their job to tell me they had my car. After calling the police department where they had so called "reported the towed car", the police had no record of any kind of the car being towed. I asked where I could get my car and how much they were trying to charge me, which was $125 for the tow, and 5 days of storage at $15/ Day. I then told the man that if they had notified me on the first day that my car was towed, then I would have come to get it that day! He said it was not his problem or his job to notify me, even though they obviously had my number since they called me. I returned to All About Automotive that night after work with the police so they could remove the stolen car alarm from my car. I explained to the police my situation, and they knew the towing place I was talking about before I even said the name. They said they had constant complaints of these people scamming people out of their money, and holding their cars for long periods of time without notifying police. So that night there was only the night guy "[redacted]" there to help us. He was nice enough, but had no authority over not charging me the extra 5 days storage that I did not want to pay. He told me to come back the next day when the "Manager" would be there from 10-6 and talk to them about the billing issue. I asked him if they would try to charge me for another day if I left my car there until tomorrow to talk to the manager, and he said they wouldn't charge me because of the situation, which of course they ended up doing later. So I gave him my number and told him to have his manager call me as soon as he was in the next day, as I had to work and could not go back up until later. The next day 7/**, I still had not heard from the manager around 1pm, so I gave them a call. The woman who picked up was the "dispatcher", was the most rude, unprofessional, unhelpful person I have ever talked to in my life, and I work in customer service. When explaining to her my situation, she hung up on me at least 9 times when I asked to speak to a manager, and then laughed at me when explaining my situation to her. She cursed at me and yelled over the phone, and was a complete disgrace to talk to. I finally talked to another gentleman on the phone who was much more helpful, I believe his name was [redacted]. He tried to explain the situation to me, and told me the "Manager" would be in from 6pm-7pm that night and to come then. So after I finished work at 6pm, I went to all about automotive and after waiting for about 20 mins, finally spoke to a woman whom referred to herself as a "manager". [redacted] then tried to explain to her the situation and she started yelling at him talking about me right in front of me like I wasn't even there! I then spoke up, trying to tell her my situation and she snapped back, not letting me get a word in, about how I wasn't getting my car until I payed and that she didn't car about my side. I then told her that if they charged me for the extra days storage that they didn't tell me where my car was that I was going to bring them to civil court, which I plan on doing, and she laughed at me and said she always wins in court, its not their responsibility to notify me that they had my car, and that they told the police they had it, when they obviously had not done that. I was so frustrated by this point that I asked for a itemized receipt, payed the $200 and left.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the 5 days in storage that I was not notified of my car being there. 5 days at $15 per day would be a refund of $75 for them not notifying me or the police that my car was at their location. This to me is grand theft auto, if you take someone's car without permission, and without notifying the police. I have records that show the police had no record of this car being towed.

Review: We provide delivery and pick service for our customers , on 0*/0215 All about automotive ll , inc. came upon one of our commercial vehicles in a tenant/customer of ours parking while conducting a delivery , our driver happened to approach the tow truck driver before he had a chance to hook up the vehicle , at that point his truck was not even touching our vehicle , he was told that we are leaving now , tow truck driver stated we cannot move the vehicle unless we pay $217 , we asked why , we were here before you even touch our vehicle , tow truck driver said once he backed up in front of the vehicle there is a charge ...that exchange went on for a few minutes , which during that time he proceeded during the conversation to attach our truck to the his tow truck and said the only way to get our truck back is to pay the $217, eventually we said ok ,to avoid him from driving off with our truck , we ask for documents authorizing the tow and a break down of the charges , he said he didn't have to do that and if we need such info we had to get it from his office/tow yard once the truck is there ...that exchange went on for a few minutes also , we decided to pay with company credit card , he stated that he cannot take a card only cash , we have to go to the office to pay with a card and we will need to show DL License , registration and of whom actually owned the vehicle , we ended paying him cash and he released the vehicle with only a DL from anyone ,didn't matter who, he actually had to come to the business location which was a block over to collect the cash ,he then unhooked the truck on a side street close to the store.

After researching the New York Consumers affairs towing policy section 19-169.1(g) ,states that because we were on the scene prior to him even touching our vehicle , the most he is allowed to collect is a "Drop fee"( for unhooking a vehicle that is about to be towed ) of $62.50. instead he charged $200 +tax =$217.75 which can be found no where in the DCA`s guideline nor on any breakdown on his receipt ,he also did not give us a copy of the consumers bill of rights regarding towing as required and again he could not take credit card.

On 8/**/15 the same company All About Automotive II Inc, towed my vehicle again while parked in a tenants parking lot to provide service for the customer , he was not parked illegally and there were no "no parking" sign posted , prior to parking we ask a worker of the building if it was ok to park ,he stated yes , but if anything should happen its still our responsibility ,when the employee returned no more that 20min the truck was gone , the building manager gave us a list of possible tow company to call and explained that they were not suppose to tow the vehicle and we should ask for a signed document showing that the towing was authorized.

Prior to going to the tow yard ,we contacted the DCA to find out what the charges should be to recover the vehicle ,

they gave me the website that breaks down and explained what should be charge , the tow charge should have been $125 , they also informed us ask for document approving the tow , their DCA decal on the tow truck and the consumers bill of rights regarding towing ( which was also on the website)...upon arrival ...I ended up having the call the police to assist in getting released , again they would not take a card I had to locate a ATM to get cash , he claimed that the truck that towed me was not there ,therefore I could not verify the DCA decal and the drivers DCA tow truck drivers license , his DCA license number was not on the receipt and he refused to provide me with the consumers bill of rights , the person who stated that he was the manager got angry ,called me a "Jack [redacted] and said I pissed him off I cannot get my truck until the next day, he then closed the window , that `s when I had to call the police , police came and assisted me in getting my vehicle , instead of $125, I again had to pay $217.00, his explanation is because its a commercial vehicle ,when ask why the tow charge and the non tow charge

that happened in April are the same ,he replied that's in the past ,he cant answer that ,even after I showed him the receipt.Desired Settlement: Repay the difference of what was charged a total of $246.50 ,also provide proof of authorization to tow , consumer bill of rights regarding towing and tow operator DCA tow truck drivers license for both dates 4/*/15 and 8/**/15 and a breakdown(itemized) charges for both dates.

I would also suggest that if they do not have an infield credit card machine , or no credit card system in place or the machine is not working , they should not operate until those concerns are resolved , to operate on a cash only basis is unfair , unjust and almost criminal to put consumer to that type of headache .
