My 1989 Ford Bronco was taken to this shop for stalling out on the freeway and/or a possible engine problem. It was brought in on a tow truck, at the recommendation of the tow truck driver. This was in mid April. The owner, [redacted], came out and advised it seemed like a simple fix, and that they would take a look at it. They advised over a month later that they had found, and fixed the issue. I then requested some additional parts I purchased separately be added as well. This included, a lift and exhaust. I also purchased tires from them for the total of $1500 and they installed those as well. On 05/30/14 I drove from [redacted], ** to pick up the vehicle. On the way home, approximately 5 miles away, the truck did the exact same issue it was brought in for. It stalled on the freeway and would not start. I called the shop and spoke with an employee who advised that it was only taken down the street, maybe a block away. They advised they would have it towed back to the shop. Once back at the shop, on 05/30/14, it was over a month before I heard anything. I called multiple times to check on the status and was told to just be patient. They had the Bronco for over 2 months when I called again to be advised that it was possibly a bad freeze plug, and one of the mechanics would check it out and get back to me. I never received a call and again called them towards the middle of July and was again advised to be patient, that they were still trying to find the issue. I never heard back from them, so I called on 07/22/14 and spoke to [redacted] (the Service Manager) and he advised that after checking the seals the truck was still leaking. He said he would check it out and call me on 07/23/14. I never received a call, so I called on 08/02/14 and was advised the engine was blown. I advised I wanted to return the wheels and tires, and that I would sign the title to them, if I received a refund for the wheels and tires. [redacted] advised that he would check on it.Product_Or_Service: Wheels and TiresOrder_Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement[redacted], the Service Manager, advised me that on 08/16/14 there would be a check there for approximately $971.00 from [redacted] the owner. Which was a refund for the tires minus a 20% restocking fee. On the drive there I called to verify and was advised by [redacted] he didn't have a check and [redacted] was on vacation and unreachable. All I want was what I was told I would get by the Shop's Service Manager. I have witnesses that heard him over speaker say I would receive the refund. [redacted] NEVER addressed the issueBusiness Response To: Revdex.com Northern NevadaFrom: All About CarsSubject: [redacted] Case#[redacted] came into our shop in April [redacted] had a list of things he was requesting to be done to the truck he asked us to install a lift kit on his truck with the parts he provided he also asked us to completely repair his exhaust system he also request to have a tune up. He asked for specific parts to be used for the tune up (MSD Ignition parts) [redacted] also asked for a new set of tires and wheels , the truck was never in our shop for a drivability diagnostic it was brought in for customer request services only . It had expired registration and we could not perform test drives farther than our lot after [redacted] discovered the truck had internal engine damage he wanted a refund on special order tires and wheels which I, ( [redacted] ,Service Manager) explained to [redacted], I would have to check with the vendor and see if a refund on driven tires was an option after hearing from the vendor I was told no we won't except used tires as a return I explained this to [redacted] that the vendor will not except used tires as a return therefore I had to deny the refund amount of $971.00 the truck is still in our lot ready for pick up and the customer has yet to make contact or pick up vehicle.Thank You[redacted]SM - All About Cars.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted], you are incorreperiod My vehicle was brought to you guys by a tow truck due to a stalling issue. It was a roadside assistance tow order by my insurance company to [redacted]. When it got there, they told us they do not service that old of vehicle and sent it to you. It arrived to your shop on a tow truck. I have the original tow order with you guys receiving all ha vehicle and so does my insurance company. I was assured from the owner [redacted] that you guys would take good care of me since I am a disabled veteran and a firefighter. I was told you guys could repair the stall issue and thats when I asked for the other items installed. You guys did not repair the stall issue after I was told you could plus made me wait for a long periof of time with no updates unless I called. I eventually was told it was repaired when it was not. The few miles on the tires wouldn't have been put on them if I wasn't told the vehicle was repaired. [redacted] I also called you on October 4 2014 at 8:05am to get an update and speak to the owner and you told me he was out of the shop. I have also copy of that phone call being made. I have been given nothing but lies from your shop. I still demand a refund of the wheels and tires

I had a coolant light come on in my 2001 Mazda Tribute and on the advise of a co-worker took the vehicle to All About Cars. They checked it out and said it needed new coolant sensors, new belts, and a new water pump. I said to fix it since I needed my vehicle. They said they would rotate the tires at no charge. After 8 hours, they said it was done and when I got home, I noticed that all my belongings in the back cargo area were rearranged and some items were moved to the back seat. I also noticed grease marks on all four door handles and the back cargo area. These marks were not there when I brought the vehicle into their shop. I called the store manager and told him and he said no one in his shop did this. He said he would look on their camaras and see if anyone got into the back of my car. I had to call him about another question about 3 minutes later regarding a leak from my vehicle on the driveway and the store manager said it was just excess water residue from changing the water pump and he said at that time he looked at the surveillance camara and no one got into my car. I didn't understand how he could have looked at 8 hours of tape in 3 minutes. He said I was basically lying to him since he didn't see anything on the camaras. I then asked to speak with the owner ([redacted]). [redacted] said he would look into the matter and call me back. He never did. I left messages for him to call me, everyday for the last three weeks and he has never returned my calls. In the meantime, my vehicle was still leaking. The store manager insisted it was excess residue from the water pump. [redacted], the store manager made an appointment to look at it but I just didn't trust them to bring my vehicle in to them. I took it to another repair shoptwo weeks later and they tested the water pump. It was leaking. They showed me the water pump they took out of my vehicle and it was all dirty and instead of a seal it was put together with Silicon. The second shop manager said that this is NOT a new water pump.Product_Or_Service: Water PumpDesired SettlementAll I ask for is a refund for the waterpump that was put my vehicle by All About Cars. I had the second repair shop put in another water pump, so I basically put in two water pumps. Business Response To: Revdex.com Northern NevadaFrom: All About CarsSubject: [redacted] Case#[redacted] came to our shop on 06/28/2014. She requested that we check her 2001 Mazda Tribute for possible overheating problems. She also requested a tire rotation. Our Technician completed an evaluation and recommended a water pump, belts, and coolant sensors. The work was approved by [redacted] and we proceeded to complete it. She picked up her car later in the day, all was well. [redacted] called back later that evening stating that she felt like someone had gone through her personal belongings. My Store Manager told her that he would take a look at our cameras and that he would also question our tech, He did both. He also called me at home and made me aware of the situation. His investigating showed no evidence of our tech digging through [redacted]'s belongings. I was very involved in other affairs, therefore it took me a couple of days to follow up with [redacted]. Once I returned to work , I too, had the opportunity to review the cameras and found nothing inappropriate. I followed up and attempted to call [redacted], but instead a gentleman answered. He said that he was representing [redacted] and that she wanted a refund for the water pump claiming that it was still leaking and that a different shop had stated that we has never changed it. I informed this gentleman that we had kept the old parts and showed them to [redacted] at the time of checkout. They both agreed. To avoid further argument and as a Customer Service gesture I agreed to refund $159.99, which was the cost of the part in question. This gentleman agreed on behalf of [redacted] and came by my store to pick up the check. I hope this never happens again.Thank You[redacted]GM - All About Cars.

Brought car in to have rotors resurfaced and car came out with warped rotors. Lied to about other things.Brought car in with own brake pads needing to have rotors resurfaced and pads installed. Rotors exhibited no signs of warpage, but I needed new pads. Resurfacing is important for seating new pads. They installed after having the car nearly 6 hours (takes me 2 hours at home without a lift and no power tools) Got car back and I felt rotors were now warped. Drove a bit and you can feel a vibration. Additionally, brake pads squealed BADLY. Called them and asked about it and they tried to play off my rotor problem as being bad pads. I asked them to take another look at the car and check the rotors, not the pads. I test drove the car with their mechanic and he said, "Oh yea, I hear what you are talking about. Those rotors are definitely not right now." Gave car to them thinking they were going to re-resurface the rotors again. Got call almost as soon as I went back to work saying they won't do the work and it is my pads because the pads I have now are magnetic and don't work with my rotors and the pads that came off are not. I asked if they still had the pads and the guy said yes, he had them in his hands performing the magnet test. I said fine, give them all back to me and I will see if maybe I got bad pads from the manufacturer. He agreed as the best solution and we hung up. Get back to pick up car and they tossed my pads a while ago and the guy I spoke to "didn't tell me anything about my pads being magnetic, let alone them having my old pads." The guy then tried to tell me it was the brake caliper (amazingly all four of them) that was bad. A part on my car that has been known to be very reliable for over 150,000 miles and I am still at 55,000. Took the car back very upset by their performance and knowledge. For the record, the pads that went on are the exact same brand and model of the ones that came off. Neither are magnetic and I was lied to and played with. I was robbed out of my money and I had to pay another company to redo the service. I ended up going to [redacted] to have my brakes looked at. They told me the rotors were warped and looked like the surfacing was done poorly and caused it. They RECOMMENDED A REPLACEMENT due to the amount of warping that occurred. I'm attaching a zip file with this document included. They told me the pads are fine and shouldn't be causing this issue. They also said it looks like whoever seated the pads didn't do it right and caused heavy glazing. So they warped my rotors and then burned my brand new pads. I also spoke to [redacted] about their product and they confirmed the pads are designed to work with my car's stock rotors. They have information on their website that confirms this but I am waiting for them to send me an official document for this case. I am now looking at replacing 2 of my 4 rotors and possibly all 4 if I end up with these issues on my back brakes too. The cost to replace all four is $140 for front, $100 for rear. This does not including shipping or install.I'd also like to point out, although every car is different, the OE brake pads have been known to last over 100,000 miles without any hint of problems. I am at 55,000 miles on my car. I shouldn't be anywhere near replacement. Desired SettlementI am demanding a full refund of what I paid. $120 covers what I paid. In the event the rotors do need replacing, I will expect them to front the costs for the parts and labor. If I do not receive this money within 10 days of this submittal, I will take legal action and seek compensation for more than just parts and labor. Business Response I am very sorry to hear that one of our valued customers has had a bad experience at our facility. As the General Manager of All About Cars I offer you my sincere apologies. Please note that AAC strives to offer Supreme Customer Service to all of our patrons. To resolve this issue I agree to refunding the 120.00 in question. If an error was made, I can assure you, that it was not intentional. But we can certainly right wrongs. As far as the rotors are concerned, I will gladly replace any that are needed. I was not offered the opportunity to rectify any of this at store level. I did not receive a phone call, However we can correct it now and move forward.Thank You,[redacted] GMAll About CarsConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I appreciate the much more professional response, this time. The previous gentleman that I spoke to played games the two times I was there and I was honestly expecting this to further escalate. Do you have all the information needed to make the refund or is there anything else needed?
