A bad water leak caused damage to the main floor kitchen and basement. The business owner was very helpful at the start of the project and things progressed as planned on the referb but quickly went downhill with the flooring and granite sub contractors. The subcontracted flooring company had to file a claim with their insurance for bad workmanship, did not know there was such a thing, and we have since had the floor refinished to an very acceptable standard. The granite company was able to repair the botched granite installation, both jobs should have been done right the first time. The flooring subs were very disrespectful of our home for this very invasive project. I learned a great deal from this fiasco about interviewing prospective contractors and being able to put my trust in them to complete the work correctly especially when they are using outside help. Better to find a company that has skilled and trusted employees and skip the subcontractors going forward.

We are sincerely sorry that you did not have a good experience with our subcontractors. We have worked with the countertop company and the flooring company that worked in your home for many years and have not had any complaints.

We made the decision to finally renovate our kitchen in our 1964 home and we are so glad that we used Ben and Erin and All About the House. They really listened to what we wanted and helped us stay close to our budget. They gave their own ideas about industry standards and modern trends but also helped us keep a style and design that fit us and our home. They are so kind and patient and every person that they employ and every trade that came through our house were also kind and considerate and patient. They answered every question and concern that we had and encouraged us through the whole process of being without a kitchen for over 6 weeks. And they stayed right on schedule which was amazing! They even went above and beyond by improving some issues in our home outside of our kitchen which was not in the initial plan.
Our home and our lives have been transformed! We now have a beautiful kitchen and a more peaceful and updated home. I highly recommend Ben and Erin and All About the House for any of your renovation needs!
