The bus did arrive late due to an accident blocking two lanes of traffic, which was beyond our control The customer was informed of this by phone at 7:46PM and the bus arrived at 7:57PM (minutes late) per the driver and confirmed by the GPS tracking device on the bus The radio and
the air conditioning was in perfect working order upon arrival The exact same bus went out the night before without any complaints When the driver called the office, the music was so loud we could not communicate with him The driver commented the music sounded fine, but they had it as loud as it would go He did try to re-adjust it as they changed the settings and maxed out the base We did discover one blown speaker when the bus returned, most likely due to the excessive volume and changing the settings by the customer The AC temperature was taken when the bus returned The air coming out of the vents was degrees There was evidence of the customer opening the emergency exit hatch, which is a violation of our rules, subject to a fin and would cause the cold air to escape from the bus This would be similar to leaving the front door on your house open and expecting the AC to keep up We did provide the customer with a 50% cash refund in the amount of $ I have included a copy of the refund acknowledgement from the customer (signed in the presence of witnesses) as well as the signed transportation rules for your review Per the agreement signed, we did not owe nor were we obligated to issue any refund at all We feel we have gone above and beyond what is necessary to resolve this issue
