All American Mackin Asphalt

Review: On April 28, 2010 [redacted] completed installation on a new driveway at my home on [redacted]. During the bid and estimate phase, he assured me that their company installed thicker asphalt than other companies that the process would minimize cracking. He also indicated that the company utilized laser equipment for proper grading of the driveway to ensure there would be no ponding of water. Upon completion of the work, he indicated that I should contact him the following spring of 2011 to have the driveway sealed. He warned that not sealing the driveway in a timely manner could lead to premature cracking of the asphalt.Over the course of the first few months after installation, I found that the driveway was not graded correctly, as significant ponding occurred in a large section that was approximately 30 to 50 feet in length. During the first winter (2010-2011), as snow melted and refroze, the entire depressed section was solid ice for the majority of the winter months. The following spring of 2011, I made several attempts to contact All American Asphault to have the situation investigated and rectified. In spite of the apparent poor workmanship, I was still willing to have your company seal the driveway. After many failed attempts to contact him, where I either left messages or received a message that the voicemail was full and could not accept messages, I finally contacted the Revdex.com of CT to inquire if the company was actually still in business. From this time until July of 2013, [redacted] finally resealed the driveway, but did not fix the depressed area. He did however indicate that he would come back and fix the faulty driveway. As I could never get in touch with him after that, I eventually sent a letter registered mail on October 22, 2013, indicating that I would have to take legal action if he did not resolve the situation, as he had agreed to do. (I can provide a copy of the letter if required)Desired Settlement: Repave the faulty section or the entire driveway, if required.
