Been trying to get recliner fixed for about 1 year. Chair still under warranty. Keep getting runaround.Spoke with [redacted] several times.Recliner serial number XXXXXXXXX model number [redacted] purchased on 05/30/2009 with a five year warranty. Chair hinge broke about a year ago contacted [redacted] numerous times will order part will send part will order part. No repairs done and no parts as of 01/10/2014.Desired SettlementRepair or replace chair.Business Response Mr. [redacted] was attempted to be contacted by me ([redacted]), owner of All American Mattress & Furniture.I also tried email to no resolution. His recliner mechanism is under 5 year warranty but his issue is not the mechanism. It is the fabric foot rest which is only under a 5 year warranty and his purchase of this recliner is over 4 years old. It is an [redacted] Furniture Brand model which has been discontinued for over 3 years and no parts are available. I tried to contact him to offer a replacement and he never responded. I have also spoke with [redacted] Furniture Represenattives ay overly lengthy options for solution. It is upsetting that we are not able to help this person but they have made this complaint in vain and his recliner is not in warranty.Thank You! In the many calls made to him he would always say he was contacting [redacted] No complaint was made in vain. We had an issue with our chair while it was in warranty and he drug it out until the warranty ran out without a resolution. He said he was sending us a do it yourself repair kit which we never received. This was a few weeks before warranty expired. Called several times after he was supposed to send replacement parts he would state "Oh! You did not get that, let me check on it." No repairs or resolution was made. This place sells bottom line furniture and mattresses. The mattresses we purchased the same day as chair turned out to be junk as well.Final Business Response The Part requested to our knowledge was not in fact a reclining mechanism part but a frame part which only had a 1 year warranty. Case was filed and Parts were ordered.... Unavailable parts for discontinued parts sometimes are not available to ship.Very interesting that a customer whom has not attempted to my knowledge to reach my personal cell or email in over 30 months wakes up and takes the time to contact Revdex.com rather than someone whom could actually help! We would like to help.We have tried to reach Mr. [redacted] with no answer and he has not responded to any emails since as shown below our attempts to locate a replacement through [redacted] Furniture. Although the mechanismis under 5 year warranty 2&1/2 years has passed since this subject has come across our desk. No records on our email except several emails of our attempt with [redacted] Furniture are showing inbox. We always do our best to accomodate warranty issues but customer follow ups are most helpful as we are doing our best to cover 301 bases weekly and without friendly reminders it is impossible to be of service with out follow up request.The item was discontinued 2&1/2 years ago and no replacement parts were available from the Factory, Perhaps the Complaintant wishes to attemot to Call [redacted] Furniture Industries on the subject or resend detailed email.[redacted],Is it the actual Mech or the "board" in the footrest? Please confirm when the customer calls back. If it's the board lets order that compatible part we spoke about. If it's the mech we'll go a different route.[redacted] I'm still working with the dealer on this.
