Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: they do not offer a resolution to the issue, I expect that they refund me my monies and call it good That they need to practice better business practices
Sincerely,
*** ***

The request from *** *** for a price in July, was not for a contract price, but request for a written estimate. *** ***, one of the involved desk adjusters for the *** claims, was talked to on 7-and stated base on our estimate, a reinspection would be necessary after reviewing our requested scope of work. After the reinspection, we were contacted by *** *** again on 8-18, and were to revise our estimate yet again, changing the type of coating system we had initially written forWe then resubmitted with the requested change and received a confirmation it was receivedOur onsite rep who dealt with the adjuster at the reinspection, informed us our estimate would be honored and was agreed with, except for the change in coating system, so thought all was well and we had reached a final agreed scopeHowever, this was not the case we would soon find outWe now were looking for a revised scope from *** *** that represented the final changes and final agreed scope. We contacted ***, another involved field adjuster, and left voicemails on 8-and 8-29. On 8-30, *** left a message for our answering service and we called *** back that same day and he refused to share the revised document. We needed this document to verify changes in the “scope-of-work” to know the job based and code compliance in writing, to move forward with the buildThis is our company protocol*** demanded now demanded that we write a new contract that had a dollar value based on our submitted estimate. Our company and our contracts are based on an insurance proceeds model and we simply agree to do the work for whatever the final agreed dollar amount is stated in the final insurance estimateThe original contract followed that model so therefore, we didn’t feel it necessary to write a new contract with a specific dollar amount. Additionally, we have never been asked by any insurance company to do this and it took us by surpriseConsequently, the adjuster *** refused to provide the documentation needed to start the work, and the ***’s were getting anxious, so we acquiesced to the request and re-wrote the contract in accordance with what *** *** required to get the paperwork. On 8-30, our sales rep met with the *** and signed a new contract and all parties understood the “new contract” with the “agreed upon” scopeThen it turned out that the ***’s had in their possession since 8-18, the revised documented we had been requested for so long from *** the adjuster. This was a completely unnecessary delay and added at least two weeks to the already lengthy processOn 9-1, the revised estimate was in our possession finally, and we were ready to put the job into the queue for production when we received the complaint from the *** on the Revdex.com websiteThe complaint stated that they did not want to proceed with work and wanted a refund. We want to resolve this and move forward with the work, but also want a written agreement from the *** that we can proceed

The roof and job cannot be completed at this property until the insurance company fully supplements its award.  This house has a unique specialty roof.  The insurance company has not authorized sufficient funds to make the repairs.  The adjuster for the insurance company who...

initially came to the property designated the wrong products in the [redacted] line item.  After we pulled a core sample, and found out that the materials were off, it was apparent, that the roofing company needed additional amounts to be authorized by the insurance company to redo the roof and bring it up to code.  In keeping with our insurance proceeds contract, these price issues need to be rectified with the insurance company first to ensure that the homeowner will not have any out of pocket costs.

I would like to reject the offer of Mediation for complaint ID [redacted].
Regards, [redacted]

Ms. [redacted] had her roof fail inspection due to the misalignment of a piece of flashing and the furnace cap that was not replaced.  Both of these items have been fixed and repaired.  Ms. [redacted] also claimed that the roof installers took her hand sanders from her porch.  This...

allegation is denied.
