warranty at an additional cost. Unfortunately we did not have record of the 100k mile warranty on this vehicle but if that is what the customer received we are happy to honor that. The other layer to this issue is the fact that the vehicle arrived with an engine running and overheating issue, items that are not transmission related. This vehicle was serviced and seal was replaced as stated on invoice. We inspected the vehicle twice at no charge prior to replacing axel seal and service. We could not replicate the drivability issue with the vehicle and advised the customer that the vehicle appeared to be working properly but had...

an active engine trouble code, we recommended taking to a general repair facility as that may be the cause of the drivability issue, we also noted that there was a leak at the drivers side drive axel seal. The customer brought the vehicle in on Monday for seal replacement and service. Before and after the service the transmission fluid was not burnt nor were there signs of metal in the fluid. Once the customer informed me of what the dealership said I went to the dealership and was shown his transmission and confirmed that the fluid did not smell burnt. This vehicle was under an extended warranty and it is apparent that the dealership made exaggerated or false statements to the warranty provider in order to get the approval to replace the transmission. We purchased the seal from O'reillys auto parts, the filter from precision transmission parts and the fluid from Transtar industries, all receipts as well as introduction to the two employees that performed the service are available at any time.
