Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Simply put I asked the shop to perform repairsThose repairs being; replace my alternator, distributor, and battery, those parts needed to be purchased and I was ok with thatI supplied them with a gasket set for my car which they were only able to use the valve cover gasketThat to I was ok with, although they charged me dollars for a valve cover gasket, even though they told me they were able to use itI also asked them to change my water pump and timing beltI also supplied those partsThe water pump and timing belt were not listed on either reciept that were provided, and yes they were done, but my service records do not reflect itThe distributor was never listed as rebuilt or newMy biggest concern was my vehicle did sit for two years without being startedSo I wanted them to drop the tank and clean it out, replace fuel lines and fuel filter as I did not want the old, dirty, and potentially damaging fuel to enter my engineThe fuel entering my engine was such an issue I spoke to them multiple times about my concerns pertaining to it weeks previous, and then again when they received the vehicleIve had to replace my fuel injectors since the dirty fuel caused loss of power in my car, a repair I was trying to avoid by cleaning the fuel system out prior to starting my carIt took weeks to get an invoice that made some senseReviewing the 2nd invoice it is quite clear they were trying to come up with repairs to equal hours of laborOne line states labor hours to clean area of shop for workI shouldn't have to pay dollars for a business to keep there business cleanAlso the separate lines for cleaning/degreasing is a sham as my car had the same amount of dirt and grim on the engine you would come to expect for a year old carMore labor charges to make it seem they did good work, which as verified by another mechanic, was not good work Regards, [redacted] ***

I am rejecting this response because: Simply put I asked the shop to perform repairs. Those repairs being; replace my alternator, distributor, and battery, those parts needed to be purchased and I was ok with that. I supplied them with a gasket set for my car which they were only able to use the valve cover gasket. That to I was ok with, although they charged me 51 dollars for a valve cover gasket, even though they told me they were able to use it. I also asked them to change my water pump and timing belt. I also supplied those parts. The water pump and timing belt were not listed on either reciept that were provided, and yes they were done, but my service records do not reflect it. The distributor was never listed as rebuilt or new. My biggest concern was my vehicle did sit for two years without being started. So I wanted them to drop the tank and clean it out, replace fuel lines and fuel filter as I did not want the old, dirty, and potentially damaging fuel to enter my engine. The fuel entering my engine was such an issue I spoke to them multiple times about my concerns pertaining to it weeks previous, and then again when they received the vehicle. Ive had to replace my fuel injectors since the dirty fuel caused loss of power in my car, a repair I was trying to avoid by cleaning the fuel system out prior to starting my car. It took 3 weeks to get an invoice that made some sense. Reviewing the 2nd invoice it is quite clear they were trying to come up with repairs to equal 15 hours of labor. One line states 0.8 labor hours to clean area of shop for work. I shouldn't have to pay 80 dollars for a business to keep there business clean. Also the 3 separate lines for cleaning/degreasing is a sham as my car had the same amount of dirt and grim on the engine you would come to expect for a 26 year old car. More labor charges to make it seem they did good work, which as verified by another mechanic, was not good work.
