All 'Bout Childhood Dentistry

Review: My daughter was a patient of [redacted]'s from 2003 through 2009. In late 2009 [redacted]'s and her practice disappeared from the [redacted] location and numerous phone calls to the office were unanswered. As a result I had to locate another dentist to meet my child's needs. Fast forward to 2013 and I'm being sent to IC Systems, a collection agency, for a $500 bill incurred during two visits made in April 2009 for which I paid the 20% coinsurance due at the time of the visits. My daughter was covered by United Concordia at the time and if the bills were submitted on time the insurance company would've paid the contracted amount. However [redacted]'s office attempted to collect payment from the insurance company in 2012 at which point I'm certain the insurance company is denying the claim. There is a line in the itemized ledger I received from the billing person in the office which states "To Old to collect" dated 8/*/2012. I'm filing a complaint because this illustrates terrible customer service and a terrible business ethic to attempt to collect on a debt incurred by ABC Dentistry's negligence in neglecting to attempt payment from the inusurance company in a timely fashion. When I called the office to discuss the issue I was sent a bill/itemized ledger.Desired Settlement: I would like the $528.80 collections claim revoked, wiped from my credit report and my balance owed to be $0. If the practice attempted to collect payment from the insurance company in a timely fashion they would've received payment.
