Review: I gave [redacted] 3 automobile grills to repair and polish and paid him a $100 deposit with the balance to be paid upon completion. He didn't do any of them and now refuses to refund my deposit. I have the original receipt for the work with his initials on it.

[redacted] brought his 3 grills to Rodriguez All Bumper Repair on 11/30/2004 for me to Repair and Buff Bright. A deposit of $100 was put down on the job. When I started the job back in 2004, I had over 2 hours of repair time on the first grill and was unable to repair it, in order to buff bright. So I tried to call [redacted] to let him know but his phone was disconnedted. I put the job aside since I couldn't contact [redacted]. Some time passed and I tried calling him again, his phone was still disconnected, at that time the job was put on a shelf. Time passed (not sure how long) [redacted] called and said he had lost his job and didn't have the money for me to complete the job. That he still wanted the job done when he could afford to pay for it. Many years passed, now 2013 [redacted] called and said he wanted the job done. As a courtesy to [redacted], I spent another 2 hours working to repair the same grill but couldn't repair it. I contacted [redacted] and told him I was not able to do the repairs on the grills to come pick up the grills. Months passed before [redacted] showed up on 10/23/2013 asking for his grills and his $100 back. I told him what about my repair time and storage for all the years his job sat in my shop? So then [redacted] said, then give me $50 back. I said again what about my time and all these years of storage. [redacted] got mad and told me he was going to sue me. I responded ok see you in court. I feel I tried to accommodate [redacted] on at least 2 separate occasions. My shop repair rate is $60 hour @ 4 hours the total should be $120 plus storage fees at $1 per day. I don't feel I owe [redacted] any money back. I feel he owes me. Also stated on the estimate sheet at the bottom:([redacted] received a copy) The above estimate is based on my inspection and does not cover additional parts or labor which may be required after work has been opened up. Estimate void after 30 days. Prices subject to change.

With over 18 years of being in business this is the first time I have had a problem with a customer, I feel I was more than fair with [redacted] and tried several times to accomodate him.

[redacted] hes distored the facts in his rebuttle, but in the spirit of Christmas, I am feeling generous, so I will be sending [redacted] his $100. This in no way means I believe I owe [redacted] the money. I feel this just needs to be done and over.
