The [redacted] received an estimate from our company for their move. The estimate was not guaranteed and was at a variable hourly rate, as explained by the estimator and written out on the probable cost of service (attached). While we do our best to complete the move in the quoted... time, there are many variables and quotes often come in under or over the estimated total. As for the post dated check, Mrs [redacted] discussed waiting to cash the check with a mover but did not call the office to discuss and the notes was missed by our accounting department. We apologized for the miscommunication/ oversight on our end, and offered to pay for the bounced check fees, but Mrs. [redacted] said her bank took care of them for her, so there was no need. Again, this was an accident and we apologized.The [redacted] 's waived the valuation on their bill of lading, and elected to received basic protection at .30/ lb. They submitted a claim form, as required by NYS and we send out a settlement letter in the time frame allotted by NYS. While we are sorry the [redacted] 's were not happy with their moving experience, we have done our best to try to rectify the situation.
