On January 20, Mr*** purchased the mentioned Toyota 4Runner from All City Auto Center, shortly after his purchase
of the 4Runner the check engine light came onAs I remember he then took it to Quality Toyota in Fergus Falls, MNA diagnosis was made that a certain Catalytic Converter had failed and needed replacingAll City Auto Center offering to fix it but not wanting to pay dealer rates requested Mr*** return the 4Runner to us for repairWith the Quality Toyota diagnosis we carried out the repair and obviously it worked for have heard nothing until nowIf our repair was wrong why did it take months to surfaceIf the engine failed and took out the Catalytic converters that has nothing to do with what we didAs I understand Mr*** has an extended warranty he purchased from us and will be getting a new engine paid forAs much as I would like to help everybody our company has to have a cutoff date for providing assistance after the saleThis is way beyond that point

The Diagnosis from Quality was to replace the catalitic converterTher are four total catalitic converters on this vehical two that are measured by the OBD and two that are notAll city replaced a rear un measured catalitic converter when it was the forard catalitic converter that threw the codes read by Quality ToyotaThe codes read the forward catalitic converter as not performing to standardsThe OBD computer does not read a part that is not Measured? Quality sent All city the right information but All city misinterperated it and replaced the wrong partWithin a week of them installing this (end of June 15') When the lights came back on and I reported this to Mark at all city who said "I dont know why the lights came on again, thats really weird" and then he wished me luck and left it up to me to find out why the lights came onThe reason its taken so long is because I took it upon myself after receiving little help from All city to find a solutionAlso I didnt want more repair debt so soon after replacing the transmission and the wrong catFrankly I was upset with All City's Incompatence and didnt want to deal with them any moreAfter further review of the situation I feel All city is at fault for replacing a unmeasured catalitic converter, a part that is unable to send codes to set off a dash lightIf their Techs new what they where doing they would have caught the fact that the part they where istalling is not a part that will set of the dash lights or send a code to the OBD(on board diagnostics) It is the Forward catalitic converter that sent the codes and the forward catalitic converter that should have been replaced
