Our typical turn around for sending out medals is within a week. The participant was refunded for the medal mailing prior to this complaintAfter reviewing the large delay in sending the medal we have now also refunded the full registration cost as well. While we work with many
participants we do work hard to make sure every participant has an excellent experience. We hope that the participant in this case has seen that in the end we did do all that we could to end everything on a positive note

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2014/12/15) */
Contact Name and Title:***
Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX
Contact Email: ***@allcommunityevents.com
The customer was sent their medal prior to receiving this noticeWe do not show a record of the customer ever being
told they would receive their medal within one week of their original paymentMoving forward we will work with the customer to compensate them for the fee they paid to have the medal shipped as these medals are traditionally sent much quicker
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2014/12/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Although I stated the names of the staff I spoke to and included the dates of emails and phone calls, the company has not apologized or even acknowledged this contact
If the company keeps the promise it made in its response to this complaint to return the shipping fee and agrees to a specified ship date, e.g***and also sends a coupon or voucher for 50% off registration for the All Community Event of my choice, then I will be satisfied
I am pleased to have received my medal on Saturday, December 6, more than one week after I filed this complaintIn point of fact, the ship date on the package label is December 3, the same as the Case Opened Date listed above on this complaintWhether the company shipped the medal before receiving the complaint may be a matter of conjecture
Finally, I would like to ask Mr.*** to set a higher bar for customer serviceDon't just "work with me" as you stated in your response, but go further: make a promise and keep it, to all customersIf you return my shipping fee and send a 50% off voucher by Jan(or another date we agree on), it will serve to remove the "bad taste" and "bad faith" left by this experience, and I will look forward to participating in future All Community Events

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would like to put on record that they advertised a headlamp, and we were given cheap flashlight. To be exact, they are the same cheap headlamps harbor frieght gives out for free.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

All Community Events ran an event "[redacted], Il on July 23, 2016 for a 5k, 10k, and half marathon. Race was supposed to start at 5:30pm. There was a thunderstorm headed in our direction so the race was delayed. No problem (they delayed it 3 times - 6:00pm, 7:15pm, race did not start till 7:30pm). They rerouted the course because the forest preserve was unsafe to run that late at night. No big deal, except they delayed for the safety of all participants and knew there was going to be another thunderstorm at 9pm (100% chance) and most half marathoners were not going to be finished running their race until after 9pm. They didn't care and started the race anyways. And then they cancelled it when some were only 3/4 of the way finished. For those that finished after 9:15pm there was nobody at the finish line, no one to hand out medals, and the finish line was deflated. Their communication skill lacked and they made a bad judgement call and won't even address the fact that they had to cancel at the end of the race. They have wiped their hands clean of this event and are looking forward. I am thoroughly upset with this organization and I will not be supporting them unless something is done for those that trained so hard to run their first marathon to be told they have to stop at mile 10. Absolutely disappointed.

Unfortunately the timers equipment who we hired did fail due to record amounts of rain.  In understanding of the importance of timing runners during and event we did refund the upgrade for both registrations back to the card.  Further we offered $20 coupon to the future event for each...

participant.
