Thank you for your call this morning regarding the referenced complaint. To summarize this complaint, we received a call from Ms***' insurance company's emergency serviced dispatcher. A break in was reported and we were advised that a board up was needed. We responded.
The insured told our emergency crew that she was not to sign anything until she had estimates. Our crew would have given her a verbal approximate amount as they do not have the ability to provide a written estimate on site. Based on the attached document signed by Ms*** she obviously received other pricing and chose All County Environmental to perform the board up. Normally we send our estimate and invoice to the adjuster handling the claim which was the case regarding her loss. The estimate we sent to the insurance company was for a little over $1,and this included repairs as well as the board up. Ms*** has a $1,deductible so the insurance company would have sent her any money over the $1,and she would be responsible for the differenceThat is how a deductible works. We sent Ms*** a copy of the estimate and although the adjuster did not catch an error on the estimate, Ms*** did. There was a line item on the computer generated estimate for framing with a charge of $Ms*** called her adjuster, he called us, we looked at it and concurred that it was an error and corrected the invoice bringing the amount due to us down to $673.28. We explained to the adjuster that when estimating certain subjects the category will suggest other items that pertain to the peril and in this case our estimator didn't realize that one item automatically added a related item to the estimateSometimes the item doesn't add or show until the estimate is printed. We resent an invoice to the adjuster per his request and he was to send it to Ms*** in the amount of $We have requested payment several times as this loss occurred in May of and unfortunately we have had to file a small claims court complaintOur court date is April 26, at 8:30am in the City of Fullerton. If you require further assistance or information please do not hesitate to call me at ***.Respectfully,*** *** ***All County Environmental & Restoration, Inc

Review: Mr. [redacted] from the Department of Insurance for the State of California, told me to file a complaint with you. Robbers damaged a very small window in my kitchen door, I contacted my insurance company about the damage and they sent All County Environmental & Restoration, Inc. to my home. At no time was a FEE FOR SERVICE mentioned by the insurance company or All County Environmental & Restoration, Inc..

In the State of California when a consumer goes into a financial contract with a SERVICE PROVIDER, there is a discussion about the services and what the cost is going to be FIRST AND FOREMOST;, there is a description of the services W/I the contract, there is a start date and a completion date, there is a warranty. But most importantly a down payment is required and the consumer knows the full and complete cost of all services that are being provided before the services are provided. All County Environmental & Restoration, Inc. did not do any of these things required by the State. Additionally, I write to you because I do not want this happening to other citizens in the State of California, an insuree contacts their insurance company in their time of need and they send their agents to take full advantage of you when you are distraught, in shock, and in distress. And the $855.74 fee is just for boarding up the window, no repairs were made to the damaged window.Desired Settlement: I would like for All County Environmental & Restoration, Inc. to come to my home and pick-up the 2(two) pieces of wood and nails they used to board up a very small kitchen door window. Cancel and remove all fees charged to me by All County Environmental & Restoration, Inc. The two(2) pieces of wood they used to board up the window is still intact, because the $855.74 was not for repairing the window, their fee was just for boarding up the window.

All County is a preferred provider for my insurance company. I spent a total of >$25K on 3 projects with All County between 2002-2010. In 2010 they repaired water damage at my rental and replaced the kitchen counters and cabinets. Approx. 1-2 years after the work, the tile grout failed and numerous tiles counter came loose. Tile counters are a long lasting item, so I contacted AC to warranty their work. AC refused to acknowledge the complaint or warranty the work. It is my opinion that AC is augmentative and blames issues with their poor work on the homeowner. I recommend you use another company.
