I contested G&S autos charges with my credit card company, because it came to my knowledge after I brought my car to another mechanic that not only was some of their services unnecessary, some of it was performed incorrectly, and some of it actually caused more damage I believe G and S auto applies a technique specifically designed to maximize the amount of money the company can bill over time by addressing incorrect issues or not fully investigating issues whereby they suggest first a fix in what they intend to be a series of eventual fixes Then when the first fix doesn't work, they take the next step of going deeper into the issue, requiring a larger amount of money and slowly milking their clients who either don't have a choice or who don't want to throw away the investment they just made on the previous fix on their vehicle so continue to throw more money at the problem
I believe in this scenario G&S probably know their intial suggestions wont fix the issue and I also believe they knowingly don't investigate the issues deeper even after they're under the hood and have parts removed so they can bill yet again to remove everything and go back in when the first fix doesn't workThereby paying multiple times over to remove the same parts to get to the same areasFinally, because of the information I have, I think its highly probable, the mechanics actually cause some of the issues, probably mostly on older cars because they know they can hide behind the idea the car is older so its going to reach a point where its just going to start breaking down, justifying all the continuing issues which they "uncover"
