Review: Hello, I purchased used cdj mkII cd players of the [redacted] brand december of 13'. One of these units only worked properly for a few hours of usage. I brought it to a supposed certified tech I found on the [redacted] website. The first time he didn't accept it because it was working correctly when we plugged it in in his shop. I took it home, it didn't work again same day. Time goes by in between visits to him because of schedule issues. I brought it back to him, he accepted it. I gave I believe a 30$ down payment. It was a 200$ job. The issue is an eject malfunction, ( I have videos from each time.) When I went to pick it up I payed him the remaining of the money charged. I took it home it didn't work. I brought it back, he accepted it. He charged me 40$ more. I went back to pick it up brought it home, didn't work. Today I brought it to him, he accepted it, and told me to return in an hour. I returned and took it back , he showed it working in the shop. I took it home, not working again. After all of this, I know he's taking advantage of my good nature. +240$ gas, tolls and time. I spoke to [redacted], they gave me a case where when I dropped it off, I would call them ([redacted]) to let them know and their tech would contact this company in brooklyn. I wasn't able to do this as I came back in an hour and left with the machine. It was supposed to be fixed the first time. Now it's been three times and it was never changed from its original broken state. I just asked my girlfriend for receipts, she says she don't know where they are, today I didn't get a receipt either. I will call him up and record the conversation to prove he's familiar with the charges I claim.. If I have to go there again and leave it with him to get another receipt , I will if I have to.Desired Settlement: I honestly don't want this incompetent company touching my machine and possibly further sabotaging it after a report goes in, a refund and an apology would be sufficient. On customer's initial visit, the problem did not show up on the customer's unit because the problem was an intermittent one. We did not take in the unit for repair at that time as it was working to factory specifications. On April [redacted], 2014 we took the unit in for repair, identified a mechanical problem and gave customer an estimate on this repair. The unit was repaired and returned in good working condition on April [redacted], 2014 with customers signed approval. We also gave customer 30 days warranty on work performed.

The customer brought the unit again on June [redacted], 2014 for repair. We replaced a few additional mechanical parts. The customer was charged $35.00 with his approval, to cover the cost of the parts. No labor charge was assessed even though it was passed the 30 day warranty. Unit was once again tested by customer at the counter and verified in good working condition.

On the third occasion we were able to identify the source of the intermittent problem and we finally got it fixed at no additional cost to the customer. We did not have any additional complaints from the customer since then.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the intermittent problem. If the customer can show that the problem still exists we will be happy to refund his money for the repair.
