I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Note: All Exteriors response appears to have been truncated. I'm not sure if I have all of their intended response. All Exteriors did in fact verbally state that the project timeline would be 4-6 weeks from the date of contract. That is why I agreed to sign the contract. I did not attempt to rescind contract within 3 days because I had no reason to at that time.As I stated previously, it was 2 weeks after the contract date that I notified All Exteriors of my decision to rescind the contract, based on All Exteriors statement that my project timeline would not be starting in 2 weeks, but rather 8-10.  The reason given to me was they were too busy with other projects. All Exteriors GM denied my request to rescind the contract, and actually said the initial 4-6 week timeline was a "reasonable time frame".It is my contention that All Exteriors never intended to start the project on time, as they did not even submit the insurance supplement request until 4 weeks after the contract date. And only after I repeatedly inquired as to the status. When they finally did submit it, it was incomplete.  I had to retake the required pictures to document the damage in order to get the supplement approved.Again, I have lost all confidence in All Exteriors ability to complete this project on time and in a quality manner. They have given me no explanation as to why this project has fallen behind schedule, and the GM does not return my calls when I inquire. I intend to pursue a full refund of my down payment.

Homeowner was never given a timeline as for the work to be done. We do not give dates of completion due to the fact that many things can delay install dates, such as weather, bad existing building material on in process jobs, vacation time for employees, material deliveries, processing of work and...

so on. Please note that the homeowners request is under review. Home did fail to cancel the contract within the Three Day Right Of Recession time line let alone in writing in that time frame according to state law. We may or may not issue a partial refund to the customer. The home ownur decision

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  The business provided an unsolicited opinion on the work necessary.  It is time to move past this issue and go our separate ways.  I thank the Revdex.com for your assistance in this matter.Regards,

We will not be refunding the customer his money back as the gutters preform exactly the way they are designed to. There if no defect and the product is not faulty. Al is going out to look at the install and see if he can hear anything and determine where this noise issue is and what may be causing...

it. There is over 35,000,000 feet of K-Guard installed nation wide and only one noise complaint. When Al comes out and everything with this install and the gutters performance checks out we will no longer be able to help the homeowner at our level. The home owner will have to deal directly with our National office in Ohio. We have been more than accommodating to the home owner and Al is getting out at his earliest convenience as this is a no harm issue. All Exteriors LLC

MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:
This product is installed to the manufactures specifications. If the home owner would like to get the manufacturer Rep. involved we can definitely do that. We will be more than happy to do what is needed to make sure the product is installed to the manufactures specifications. If the home owner is such an expert in siding installation why did they hire us? The information that the home owner found on line, she believes is true because she found it on line. Because they cant put anything on line that's not true and factual. When in fact that is just one persons opinion on how to install siding. We installed according to the manufactures specifications right on the box. The specifications from the manufacturer was given to the home owner. The home owner has a full warranty as long as the job is paid in full. If they cant afford to pay the bill we would be happy to accept payments while the lien is in place. When paid in full we will remove the lien that we are placing on the property (Trailer House). Feel free to contact us ###-###-####

In response to the business message I recieved:
The product was not installed to manufaturers specifications.  I downloaded installation instructions from the Mitten siding manufacturer's official website.  I have attached this Mitten siding installation guide, which I have also given a copy to all Exteriors.  I have given many opportunities for the business to fix the mistakes, which they have only done a small portion of on two seperate occasions.  I would be more then happy to get ahold of the Mitten siding representative to come out and look over the installation, but I refuse to allow a representative that has ties to this company.  There was a piece of cardboard left on my porch by the business that they refer to as the installation guide.  This cardboard has no identifiable labels on it, but instead the business hand wrote "Mitten siding" on the cardboard piece, which I have also attached in this email.  As for the lifetime warranty, it would not be covered because it was not intalled properly.  Secondly, I would not have another representative of this company on my property again.  I will hire a professional myself who is competent enough to fix the remaining issues that this company has refused to even address.  I am hoping by reporting this that someone else will not be taken advantage of as I was by this company.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

The only thing that was not done was the diverter as my Roofing lead did not deam it was needed. the work was on a time and material agreement. We will be more than happy to come out under the existing Time and material agreement and add the diverter. Please let us know. Al [redacted] General Manager Tell us why here...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Al Clark from All Exteriors came out on Aug 9th, and believes his install is good and therefore if there is any issue related to the noise it's the product itself, and he indicated I'd have to deal with Justin Seymore (who has been in contact with Al and me throughout this entire process) in the national headquarters in Westerville OH. I am still not satisfied and will continue to pursue a full refund, therefore I am not closing this complaint, as the isssue from my perspective has not been resolved.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] I will await Al's visit to see what happens. They have put me off for 3 to 4 months thinking there isn't a problem, or the noise would go away, or it was my soffits making the noise.  I wanted Al out when the noise was first heard by his 2 lead men [redacted] and [redacted] (june 7th) who heard the noise and decided to replace the gutter hood. THis did not fresolve the noise I ssue. Al should have come out then,  not on  Aug 9th, his earliest free moment. That is not customer service, or attentiveness to my issue.
Regards,
[redacted]

Al will be coming out to check the installation of the gutter system. We warranty the full performance and function of the gutter system. A noise is not a warranty issue and does not mean the gutter is defective and does not affect its sole purpose and function. If the gutter checks out fine the homeowner will need to deal directly with the national office. We stand behind our products and their performance and function. All Exteriors LLC

Review: Signed a contract to have this business do some remodeling to our cabin. Paid $2500 down to start and told [redacted] our budget was $15,000. He wouldn't listen to our budget and came up with his own labor and materials list that was nearly $25,000. $15,000 of which was labor. Tried to resolute with him on lower numbers and sent me some picture of a phony approximately $12,000 just drawn up out of the blue.

[redacted] would never return phone calls in a timely fashion or texts and by time he did respond it would over a week later. Promised us a start date of June 15, then became June 29, then July 13, then July 27. Finally we started tearing apart the area of our cabin we wanted remodeled and discovered bad water damage and mold issues.

Alerted this business of this and tried to work with him on this but would never give us a firm start date or any budget figures to see where we were at within our budget. Only after my wife emailed and texted [redacted] on July 9 did he finally respond with budget numbers. Wouldn't provide anything before that.

Told [redacted] putting project on hold on July 10.

And on July 27 told [redacted] that wanted most of my $2500 back and would pay him for his time in trying to help us say $200-$500 we thought was fair. Decided to go with another company at this point and now this business is holding our $2500 and sent me nasty text messages saying he won't pay back any of the money, Says he will keep it for all his time in the bid. Bottom line here is this business never performed any work at our cabin and were just asking for most of our down payment back. All Exteriors isn't cooperating and that's why I'm turning to Revdex.com to help resolute this.

This isn't the first time All Exteriors has done this to a consumer. The Octagon House in Hudson, WI went through this also. Wouldn't give them a firm date and gave them a runaround on their bid and work performed and when they took legal action All Exteriors became cooperative. Please help me find a happy solution here.

IDesired Settlement: Would like to get at least $2000-2200 back and All Exteriors can keep some for time an compensation.

But seeing how no work was ever performed besides bid figuring out and no physical labor was done by All Exteriors this would be a fair outcome. But since [redacted] is being uncooperative, I would like all my $2500 back. Please help resolute this. Thanks for your time

Response:

This is in response to case #[redacted] filed on 8-3-15. I have reached an amicable solution with this business, All Exteriors of New Richmond, WI and would like to stop my complaint from here on out. If u could close this complaint and email the business saying that my resolution is complete, I would appreciate it.

Once they get your down payment their communications are very poor. The work of the guys is average. For a "Christian" [redacted] the owner should be ashamed of his billing practices. He tried to charge me for four hours of labor when the guys were not at my house.

Review: I got a bid from all exteriors in the beginning of september of 2013 for a siding job on my home. I was told that they could begin the siding right away once the first payment had been recieved. I gave them the first down payment on september 24th, when I was told that they were now six weeks out before they could begin. They did not actually start installing the siding until the middle of April 2014. I made the second payment because it was required once they began the project. Shortly after making the second payment I was told that they needed to add on an addition cost of $650 because they wanted to do the end windows a different way. The windows had not changed in any way since the original estimate. The installers told me that they had no experience doing siding and there was never anyone to supervise their work or check it later. They asked me for final payment before they left and I told them I would need to check over the work first, but then would drop off the final check if everything was correctly installed. I had an experienced sider check over the work; The first thing he noticed was that the siding was not laped properly, in fact, some of the siding was just butted up against the next peice and not overlapped at all. After reviewing the Mitten siding installation guide online it specifies that there is a minimum of 1 inch over lap required and should be half of the factory notch (which is an 1 1/2) I immediately contacted ** from All Exteriors and explained to him the problems we noticed right away with the lap. He verified that the lap should be 1 1/2 inches but needed to speak with his worker to find out what he had done because he had not checked the work. Also, after looking further we noticed that the J-channel around windows and doors were installed incorrectly, causing them to leak. One section of siding even fell off on its own underneath a window the very next day. [redacted] from All Exteriors was sent over to speak with me about the improper installation and to take pictures of the work that needed to be fixed. A conversation with [redacted] took place at my home with two other witnesses besides myself. [redacted] said he was embarrased by the workmanship and that he would not leave it like this, that it would be repaired even if it had to all be replaced. The workers showed up after the conversation with [redacted] and were told by [redacted] that they needed to fix any repairs. After two seperate attempts at fixing the mistakes, only a few of them had been fixed. After reviewing the contract I also noticed that the bid was for Tyvek home wrap, when they instead used an inferior product called green guard valu wrap. When I brought this up to Al he told me that they were the same price and I was not entitled to any of the difference. This is not true after looking up the price differences between tyvek and green guard valu wrap. I have asked them many [redacted]es to correct the improper installation and I even sent them a copy of the proper installation guide for Mitten siding. The warranty on my siding would be null and void if these specifications are not followed. The last day the workers were at my home trying to fix the issues, was April 21st but they did not correct the installation inefficiencies. I then got a call last week demanding the final payment even though they had not finished the job. I recieved an Intent to Lien letter from them on friday, 6/27/14 stateing that they intend to file a mechanic's lien for the work performed within the last 30 days, however no work has been done in over 60 days. They have come out to my home twice in the last two weeks now without prior notification, and I find it to be harrassing. I have given them the option to email me as I no longer wish to argue with them. I have notified the local sheriff department because of the harrassment. If it continues I am told that they will be sited for trespassing.Desired Settlement: I would like the harrassment for money to stop because I do not feel I owe this final payment due to their incompetence. I would like to hire a contractor to whom I feel comfortable to do the repairs correctly.
