After paying for my tickets six months ahead of my scheduled departure, my tickets were nowhere to be found one week before my travel date in December! Upon inquiring, I was told that my tickets were canceled because my credit card purchase did not go through. Well, that is impossible because I paid with CASH the full amount of the purchase, deposited the payment to their Bank of America account, and I was furnished a receipt indicating full payment long before the travel date! My tickets were canceled WITHOUT even informing me! The travel agency then used my credit card on file, which I had used for a different purchase, to buy new tickets at twice the price WITHOUT my authorization. Getting them to refund the charges to my credit card was almost impossible with the owner giving me one excuse after another (need 2 weeks, 30, days, 90 days for refund, home office will send it, then her office will send it, she was sick, husband was hospitalized in ICU, somebody died, she was attending a meeting, etc.) Only got my refund after I threatened to file charges against the company and their officers. Got a postdated check, and on the day I deposited the check, owner called to say do not cash the check coz there is no money yet in the account! Told her I will add felony fraud to charges against their company if check bounces! Finally got the check to clear.
In addition, our seat reservations on the flight back to the US were cancelled. According to the airlines, the travel agency keeps canceling and re-instating tickets. Mine was reinstated a few hours before my departure, hence any seat reservations I made were all gone and my family was scattered all around the plane; other passengers [redacted] not so lucky as they were not able to fly on their scheduled flights! NEVER again will I buy tickets from this company. The hassle is not worth the few dollars that you save. BEWARE if you give them your credit card number, be sure to change your number as soon as you complete your transaction as they somehow found a way to charge over $6500 to my credit card and getting them to reverse it will take several months of calling and lots of stress when no answers and phone is always full of messages! Never again!
