May we begin by extending our sincere apologies for the fact that we failed to meet *** *** expectations for a speedy surrender processHowever, we take our responsibility to our customers to protect the value of their insurance held with our company very seriouslyTo that end, we take every precaution to insure that we are dealing with the correct parties before disbursing funds
Our records indicate that we first had contact with the Insured regarding surrendering her policy on November 8, Due to the fact that the Insured was a year old girl when the insurance was purchased for her, we felt the need to ask for a Signature Guarantee so we had complete assurance that we were surrendering the funds to the correct personWe had no other sample of *** *** signature on file to compareOur error was in not requesting this additional requirement when the other forms were providedFor that we apologize
The Insured's name and address were updated and her policy surrendered on March 6, and a check in the amount of $3,issued to *** *** ***
Again, please extend*** *** our sincere apology for what she feels was too lengthy a time to surrender her policy
Note that due to our own internal policies and proceduresthis response includes personal Information so that our records show an accurate response
