I am rejecting this response because Ms. G[redacted]'s delay in sending me a proper application negatively affected my opportunities to acquire this rental prior to the other party.  According to my credit report, she also chose to run my credit after she had informed the owner that there was only one application for consideration.  There was no reason for her to continue processing any of my personal information after I discovered that she had lied to me about my chances of obtaining this property.

Complaint Respond to ID# [redacted].Ihave marketed a rental on [redacted] available for August 1h,2015 and Mr. [redacted] was the first to respond to the advertisement. I had instructed Mr. [redacted] to complete the online application and he send over additional information such as proof of employment...

and current landlord information to verify rental history. On April 24 1h,2015 at 1:57 PM,Ihad emailed Mr.[redacted] the following statement,"Hello Sir,I have received your online application and had requested the Lead Property Manager to go ahead and process your application. Once the application and landlord verification is complete,I will forward your application to the owner.They will then finalize the application.Following the approval of your application,I will create and send you the lease agreement to complete via e-signature.What Iwill need with the lease agreement is a copy of rental insurance and your deposit. I will forward the banking information a bit later."Since I  have not yet heard back from the off island owner on Monday April 27th, 2015, I  had gave Mr. [redacted] a courtesy call informing him that I am still awaiting to hear from the owners and after they review all applications,I will keep him informed. Mr.[redacted] was upset to hear another application had presented itself during the advertising period. Iproceed to communicate with Mr.[redacted] that I do not finalize the rental application. He responded by verbally expressing that he was no longer interest in the property because he did not want to compete for it.I asked Mr. [redacted] if he is was sure about rescinding his application.The next day Iheard back from the owners and informed them that we had two applicants for the home but,once I informed one of the applicants about the other application he decided to withdrawal his application.This left the owner 1application to review,who met and pass rental requirements,and gave me  final approval to proceed with.With the approval from the owner,I promptly removed the advertisement on [redacted]. later  on April 30th, 2015, I responded to Mr. [redacted] email received on 9:03 AM stating he was going to file a grievance claim as followed."Aloha Mr. [redacted],It Is a common practice to allow anyone who is interested in a given property to apply for it.We charge an application fee In order to process credit and criminal background checks so that we can ascertain the best qualified applicants.These applicants are then presented to the owner of the property and it is they who make the final decision. We have no control over how many people apply for a property during the advertising period. We do not rent properties on a first come,first serve basis. Respectfully,Lily G[redacted]" It is unfortunate that I was not able to assist Mr. [redacted] with his rental needs but,with an understanding of equal housing opportunity I cannot not deny any person to apply for any given rental property.Respectfully, Lily G[redacted]
