only give you generalizationsI do, however, appreciate you bringing this matter to my attention as we strive to please our customersWe do our best to be friendly & courteous and to value our customersWe consider their circumstances & always remember they are "created in God's image"We have a rent-to-own business in which we enter into a contract with our customers to rent-to-own their storage shedsThe term of this agreement is for one month and customers may renew this agreement for consecutive terms of one month by making rental payments for a designated amount in advance for each additional month the Renter wishes to rent the propertyIf the customer chooses rent to own they must renew this lease for months paying all monthly payments and any other charges they incur such as late fees, default pickup, or reinstatement feesWhen a customer is late we attempt to reach them by phone and if unable to do so, we send them late lettersIf a customer is repeatedly late or days late & we have lost touch with them, we send them a regular letter and a certified letter informing them we will be picking up our building if we do not receive paymentIf we do not hear from them, we send our truck to pick up our buildingIf the truck driver goes to the customer's house & is unable to retrieve the building, the customer is charged a $"Dry Run Fee"Our contract states we can charge an "In-house Collection/Trip Charge" of $but we do not do thatWe do our best to enable customers to keep their buildings which includes not charging them the $because we feel that in many instances this would prevent them from being able to "catch up"We sometimes have customers who are repeatedly late, not just or days but 30-daysIf they contact us we work with them to the greatest extent possible as we want our customers to be able to keep their buildingsWe have the occasional customer who is unhappy with our attempts to collect their payments but we take into consideration that there may be other circumstances in their lives which are affecting their response to usWe use the latest and most up-to-date computer programs and software to help insure no mistakes are madeWe keep meticulous records of all payments and activity including letters sent, phone calls made and customer's comments and responsesWe try hard to be pleasant & accommodating to our customers and have never had a previous complaint in the seven years we have been in businessWe have served almost customers & consider doing so a privilegeThank you so much for your time and consideration!
