All My Sons Mover
We contracted All My Sons for local move with the city of Birmingham. They were late by more than two hours and never bothered to call and inform. When asked they lied that they call at appointed time at 8 am. After arrival we found out that were only two persons- a lady and a man. The result of inadequate personnel was that the whole process took far more time than needed and leaving few important furniture to move later in the day.
We texted Bradford Edgy Operation Manager who had texted before. No reply. We called and got Robert who not only had little appreciation of the inconveniences caused but would not even say when remaining stuff can be moved. Robert was not only unprofessional in conversation but extremely discourteous by hanging up when we insisted on a time frame to move the remaining stuff. It is over a day and we have no update when the remaining stuff will be moved. We had to sleep without our mattresses last night.
We see all the praises showered on All My Sons Mover, our experience is not only just opposite. They to us are not only incompetent but their representative is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful/discourteous.

The moving company came out and gave me an estimate for my moveThe day of the move, the movers came out and quit and would not move me I contacted the company to have their estimator to come out and give me an estimate for moving meThe estimator did come out, look at everything and give me an estimated cost for the moveNo problems or concerns were mentioned or raised by the estimator on her visitThe company called me to schedule a moving dateThe day of the move, three movers arrivedThey asked me to show them everything that was to be moved, and I did soThey then proceeded to take to minutes to position their truck for loading my stuffTwo of the men were simply standing around while the third person positioned the truckThe other two did not begin to even attempt to start bringing items out of the houseI moved most of the items out of the second and third bedrooms, and into the living room and onto the deck while they were standing around waiting on the truck

Recently moved into a homeThe previous owners used All My Sons MovingThey left a hole in wall and when asked about it act like they couldn't have Recently on August 8th I moved into a new homeThe previous owners used All My Sons MovingThey left a hole in wall and when asked about it the movers act like they couldn't have possibly placed a hole in the wall coming down the stairs in a tight turnI told the previous owner and he spoke with themThey told him that they would deal with me directlyI called All My Sons and they told me that they could only deal with the person they provided service toTwo different stories are being told and I have yet to receive a call from the corporate office or the local Birmingham office about the hole placed in the wallThis is the worst response time and customer service/claims I have ever seen in my lifeThey should replace the hole that they placed in my wallThis is unacceptable service and very unprofessional by the actual movers

Not only did our movers start complaining right off the bat, they had a terrible attitude the whole timeIt was clear that they were unprepared and should have had more men helpingThey acted like we did not tell them that our apartment had stairsThey assumed that we had an elevatorEight hours later, they were finally doneThe next day, I noticed that two of my very expensive controlled substance prescriptions were missing from my bedside tableGranted I should have known better than to leave them in the drawer, but I shouldn't have to be worried about something like thatThe bottles remained, but all of the pills inside were goneI called three days in a row after I noticedI was told every time that they would talk to a district manager and then get back to meI never received a call backWhen I called the last time, the man asked me why I took the prescriptions and what exactly they were forI told him that that is personal information, but again both prescriptions were controlled substances, so therefore they are expensive and it's illegal to be in possession of them without a prescription from a doctorHe then told me he would call the movers and see what they had to sayI politely said to him, "do you really think they are going to admit that they did this??" He seemed to be cluelessAgain, I was promised a call back, but I never received oneThese prescriptions cost me hundreds of dollars that I will not get back, nor will I get the pills back

I suppose there are bad reviews on any job site Well, I do not have a bad review The three men sent to move me received five stars They got to my home a tad early and never stopped or broke stride I am a 61-year-old single lady....to be honest....I dreaded this move Well, I could see right off that my fears were unwarranted Thank you to the three men that treated me with respect (as well as my things), worked like ants, and saved me money ......as they worked hard and quickly I have referred them to two other families that are using them I can only hope they get the excellence I received One more thing.....Chris (from the office) called after about two hours to check and see how things were going He also called at the end of the day Five stars for me!! I had such a bad experience with All My Sons, that I didn't even get moved! I had used them twice before and didn't have a problemThe day before my move this last time, they called me to confirm and said they would be there in the afternoonWhen I scheduled, over a month before, I specifically asked for a morning appointmentWhen I talked to Chris, he told me that lady is in Texas and if I had used them before, I should've known the time I was given wasn't correctHe told me she is new, so he couldn't do anything about itHe had a snarky attitude and laughed and I told him I didn't think it was funnyI had family coming to help move me and now I have to pay for HIS mistakeHe kept putting it back on me! What kind of business blames the client? Then he told me they are busy so there is nothing they can do to help me move on timeThis was the worst experience and I was put in a panic less than hours from my moveI will NEVER book them againI called Two Men and a Truck and got an appointment right away, and I didn't have to put down a deposit

Damaged furniture during move, missing money, employee lied to me, and repeated non-returned calls to business to discuss Antique chest has scuff mark, new night stand purchased 6/for $370+ tax was chippedLoud noise was heard in hallway & when I asked lead man if they dropped something, he said "no" that guy dropped his phoneFound out later from man who dropped a mahjongg game in case that he had dropped it, case was damaged, several pieces thrown loosely into moving box, and mahjongg money bag containing approximately $was missingMahjongg bag was one of a kind! Have called All My Son times to discuss and see what they were willing to do, always assured they would see that proper person would receive info, but no one has yet to callThey never finished moving all my items, pots & pans, and miscellaneous items, I had to finish myselfPut scuff marks on freshly painted floors of apartment complexThey charged me for their time to clean up their marks which were not all

We were billed far more than our estimate Items were broken or otherwise missing We were billed over $more than our estimateThe manager told me this was due to errors by the person who came out and did our assessmentI don't think that's a just cause They moved our belongings into our apartment and into a storage facility While moving items into our apartment they damaged a door and also broke several items but did not tell usWe were left to find the items afterwards We moved into our house last week, and upon moving our things out of the storage facility we found items were missing and some were broken and thrown over the top of items in the front so we could not see them Overall I feel that the situation was not handled well by the company at all

When our furnishings were delivered to our home in SC we were not informed of damage to items Damage was hidden behind a door facing wall This was our 2nd time using All my Sons, [redacted] 1st experience was a good one 2nd, not so great We moved from ***, Al to [redacted] , SC Our delivery date was 12/1/My husband dealt with *** After our delivery we discovered cushions that had been cut with a blade These items were hidden behind a door with the cuts facing the wall #2, I had a framed lobster pic that was destroyed during the move Movers response was we aren't responsible [redacted] was contacted on separate occasions No help except call the Service Dept The only response is a letter with a $payout that they think is reasonableI sent an email about the letter on 1/16/& of course no response These cushions were will take over hundreds of dollars to try and get matching fabric, if we can find it We were asked to send pictures and we did A

Moving with these guys was terribleIf you don't watch their every move they're as slow as turtlesThey dropped and broke a ridiculous number of commonly moved itemsTable that I saw go on the truck never reappearedApathetic employees and managementHorrible experience that I still have nightmares about

I wish I had thought to research this company BEFORE I used them! Have never worked with a more un-professional crew The men seemed to work very slowly and would stop periodically to smoke or use the cell phone When I originally spoke with someone (a man) to discuss the move, I specifically asked if his crew had experience in taking down and putting up a Sleep Number bed He said, "Oh, sure They do it all the time" Well, neither of the young guys they sent had ever moved one They did seem to have it put back together (as evidenced by it inflating properly), but they had left the remote control to the movable frame back at the old place Later that night when I obtained the remote and got back to the new place, the remote does not operate the frameThe remote lights up, but the bed does not move Now, I will have to pay to get someone from the Sleep Number bed place to come out here They had trouble moving of my larger pieces, and were not actually able to get two of the pieces moved into the rooms at the new place One of the pieces, a tall oak entertainment center, they said they could not stand it up (this was going in a basement apt with low ceiling), but they still had it on the dolly However, I suggested they take it OFF the dolly and try to move it a different way, and it stood right up with or so inches to spare! How "professional" was that? I had to tell them how to do their job These men laughed and cut up the ENTIRE day They arrived at my house at and didn't finish until 5:00pm I feel like they were purposely slow Maybe that is the drawback to using an "employee owned" business

This company was hired for us by family and it was our families first an LAST time to use this companyMovers were late, seemed frustrated that they had to move out stuff especially up stairsLeft furniture and belongings even those boxes up at our home we were leavingJust all around crappy jobWhen unpacking movers deliberately put boxes in wrong places, I'm guessing because they didn't want to carry them upstairsWhen it came time for billing charges were of course higher than discussed and included some crap fee for ' re folding their quilts'! They brought their quiltsTheir moving description on their website states they do all of these things and take care of the customerI call BS! After reading other reviews I see this is standard operating procedure for this companyLesson learned, we will do our due diligence before hiring a serviceBut guaranteed it will not be this company ever again
