All My Sons Moving & Storage over-promises, under-delivers, and over-charges I hired this company to move my small office with two full-time employees to a building a block away We had notified All My Sons weeks in advance that it would be necessary to carry our furnishings from our second floor office down stairs to the ground floor because the elevator in our building was out of service Without ever coming to our premises to inspect our furnishings or the stairs, All My Sons assured us that they moved customers down stairs all the time without issue We relied on that representation Yesterday All My Sons' crew showed up minutes late The crew chief then admitted that he had forgotten his tools and had no tools to disassemble our larger furniture He had to ask me for tools I then had to go get my own tools from the new office to loan to them The crew then started bringing furniture down the stairs without properly wrapping it to prevent damage The crew damaged a very expensive furnishing that I had asked them to treat with special care They also chipped a large piece of wood out of the surface of my desk while taking it apart They also destroyed a space heater and one of a matching set of chairs that cannot be replaced We finally confronted the crew leader, and he confessed that they would not be capable of taking additional wooden furniture down the stairs without damaging the pieces I told them to stop and take the items that they had already gotten into their truck to my new office When we arrived at the new office, I was advised by the crew leader and supervisor Edward Garcia (by telephone) that my property would not be unloaded from their truck until I paid them in full I was charged over a thousand dollars (above my $deposit) for shoddy work, damaged goods, and rude treatment by the supervisors Over the course of the evening I had several communications with Joe, Jesus, and Edward, all supervisors with the company, who were not honest with me
This company interprets the language "payment due upon delivery" as "payment due once we have possession of your property and before we will deliver it." They are dishonest, incompetent, and are not worthy of your business Please do not make the mistake that I made in doing business with this company
Today I paid a four man crew $to move the large items that were beyond the capacity of All My Sons They moved everything without any damage, were on time and professional They conducted the hardest part of my move in less time and for less than 1/the cost of All My Sons
