I called to get a quote for moving one heavy appliance for the following day (wouldn’t take more than a few minutes but needed the man power). I was quoted they’d have to charge me for the whole hour & that the one hour job would cost $149, with a $100 down payment due as soon as I agreed to lock-in my appointment, which goes toward the total fee. They said they could get someone out the following morning for the appointment. So I agreed to THOSE terms, and they asked for my credit card (for the down payment). We finish the call & a few minutes later, I got an email containing solely the down payment confirmation & their cancellation policy/contact info. One hour later, I get a second email about their insurance/valuation policy. It is NOT UNTIL 20 minutes after that, that I then get a third email that NOW states they charge a 2-hour minimum, no matter the fact we aren’t actually moving, we have one object to move, and most importantly I was verbally told one price & circumstance (& guaranteed for that quote with my down payment then given)— and they only tell me this addendum of their policy AFTER they took my credit card information. So by time we try to call them shortly after, their office is closed— but if we had even tried to cancel it, we’d lose that initial deposit (since we scheduled a job for the next day, that day). So when I was expecting to pay the remaining $49 the day of, it ended up coming out to a total of $397..... That is beyond frustrating. I would not have gone with this service if I had known I’d be SCAMMED to lose SO MUCH MONEY for a five minute job........ I’m thoroughly upset, this was a huge loss and problem for us. They didn’t even call us back to go over this when we called them about the issue.

It's bad enough having to trust strangers with your belongings, let alone getting a service rep on the initial phone call that is argumentative, rude and quite frankly wouldn't allow me to speak before spouting out what I could be paying. Not the best experience and lead me to wonder what my actual move experience would be like. That same rep called me back attempted an apology, but the damage was done. I decided on another carrier.

Great experience with All My Sons . Bailed me out from a company who never showed or called . Did a great job . Had my third floor apt packed and loaded in two hours . There packing was amazing . The movers who unloaded the truck at our destination had that truck unloaded in less than hour because of their great packing job

We needed to move stuff from a storage and a one bedroom apartament to a two bedroom. The plan was to load up storage, then load up the one bedroom, then unload at the two bedroom. Instead, they talked us into making two trips, which were charged separately. It seemed reasonable enough until they started acting concerned because the two bedroom started to look a little full.
We started talking about having to go back to storage and put stuff back in. This was added to the moving bill.
Later, I went to the two bedroom apartment to try and organize stuff to make more room...
They loaded only most of the stuff.
They tried to force a couch through a doorframe. This couch was part of a set. They unscrewed the legs from the first set, but the one-seater was forced so badly that they peeled off the paint from the frame.
My front door was hit. I don’t know what they hit it with, but they peeled off some paint from it as well.
When we called them and talked about it, they said they would send a crew to finish (today), but somehow, the driver is sick today and noone else is free.
At the time of writing, it’s 4 pm and not a word from them.
I’ve given up and hired a different moving company to finish what they have left undone.
What bothers me is that:
a) they charged me for a theoretical trip
b) they moved stuff partially. Stuff that goes together (couches with cushions left behind, glass tables with the glass left behind)...
c) they promised to do right by us, but all they’ve done is give us the turnaround.

FRADULANT CHARGE AND WONT REFUND!! spoke to them about a quote - gave information. Charged $100 but called them 15 minutes later to say we won't be using them - NEVER EVER REFUNDED Deposit DESPITE dispute, etc. BEWARE OF FRADULANT CHARGES!!

Hired all my sons movers they showed up on time 8am however they stayed in their vehicle until I called their manager to find out when time started to my surprise it started when they drove in the drive not when they start working. So I sent them on their way no motivation and not wanting to get started left me in fear of how they would handle my belongings.

Moving Timeline (actual)
0845 Crew arrives
0845 - 1200 (3.25 hrs) Working at old home
1200 - 1230 (.5 hrs) Lunch
1230 - 1315 (.75 hrs) Finishing loading at old home
1315 - 1415 (1.0 hrs) Travel time to new home (3 miles away)
1415 - 1630 (2.25 hrs) Unloading at new home
Total time: 7.75 hrs
Travel and meal time: 1.5 hrs
Net moving time: 6.25 hrs
My original quote was 7 hours, plus 1 hour of travel time, which I agreed to. I packed my home myself, and for some reason was charged another $300 in packing materials. Please advise what this charge entailed? No materials were used to protect either home. I have attached pictures of the "packing materials" they used. My estimate of materials were a couple of cardboard boxes to protect the TV, and tape/shrink wrap...which is nowhere near the $300 that was ADDED on to the final bill.
The travel time actually took your crew 1 hour to get to my home because they did not want to follow me. They said they wanted to drive to the store to get some water (which had been provided to them at the previous home). Because of this, they took an hour to get to the home, which I was also charged for on top of the travel time charge, making it 2 hours of travel time instead of 1. My new home is literally, 2.5 miles away, or less than a 10 minute drive.
My estimate of items additional in which your company cost me is the following:
1.5 hour travel time and lunch
$300 packing materials
This is around $600 in additional costs according to your billing structure.
