In 2012, I went to the All New Tropical World Pet Store. I bought an African Grey Parrot before. So, I went again. Went into the store to see if they had any African Grey's. I was told not at this time. He showed me a Rose Breasted Cockatoo. I told him I was more interested in the African Grey. He told me that this other bird was smart, he is a talker, and I'd be happy with him. Before too long, I said I'd take him, or her. Payed him $1.262.52. Not much was said about anything else. The Bird was finger trained, and hand fed, which means it was a tame bird. It was maybe 8-9 weeks out of the egg. After I had him for three weeks he started plucking his feathers. I called and I was told not to take him to Cummings Vet Hospital in Grafton, because they were too expensive. I was told to bring him back to the store and he would see what he could do, leave him for a couple weeks. During that time, I went to the store, and I have no idea what if anything that he did. I was told he pulled the broken feathers out. I guess they were growing back. So I took him back home, and within a week or so, he started plucking again. Again I took him back and left him for about three weeks, back home, and the plucking continued. When I put my finger in to get him, he bit me, jumped from the top perch, to the bottom, and ran into the opposite corner. I figured out that because his feathers were being pulled out by the store owner, he was afraid of hands, and fingers. So, now the bird is vicious. I brought the bird back and told him he can have the bird. I was deeply depressed, doing all this with a baby bird, plucking, and biting, for over $1,200.00. Brian told me the next African Grey that came in would be mine. It will be two (2) years January XX XXXX. He would not give me my money back, so I was forced to wait for a bird to come to the store. I cant even tell you how many times I was told some excuse, why I still don't have a bird. I get up being so depressed, no pet, no money, now what?Product_Or_Service: Rose Breasted CockatooOrder_Number: noneAccount_Number: noneDesired Settlement I really don't want a bird from, I don't know who, after 2 years. I rather the $1,200.00 back to buy a parrot from a reputable dealer..... Why would a dealer not a vet himself, pull out broken feathers? He told me 85 all together, I witnessed that, I had to leave the store..... I confronted him, he told me pulling out the feathers, it does not hurt the bird. He has no idea what he is saying..... I have contacted the Attorney General, and also called the MSPCA, and in touch with Cummings
