Yes customer had a stereo system installed on his motorcycle at our shop. The customers bike has a performance built motor and after market exhaust, making it louder than most bikes....

Originally he was indecisive about which brand of equipment he wanted. After him and our installer talking in depth about it, he decided on Pioneer equipment. When customer picked up bike he seemed pleased with the out come, we had the bike running and the stereo system playing.
A few days later he called and explained he was disappointed due to the fact that he could not hear the radio over the bike when on the highway(90+mph). He at that time was thinking that he should have went with a different brand of speakers, and also asked us to price different equipment. Shortly after that that point he started demanding the equipment be pulled off the bike and we refund him. Our response to that is that electronic equipment can not be returned after installed but that we would work with him. We explained to him that we were not sure different speakers would do much good, however we could add more power to the system with a different amp. I even offered to loan him the amp for a day so he could go riding and see how it sounded. He said he wanted to think about it.
A few days after that he says the radio had shorted out and was not working. I told him to bring it in at his convenience and we would take a look at it. I explained it could be as simple as a fuse. He did not bring bike in. Then maybe a couple days later he claimed our system shorted out his entire bike. That was how it was stated to us. We explained to him that we did not feel that was a correct statement, but again he was informed: bring the bike in at his convenience and we would look at it.
He ultimately refused to bring the motorcycle in to be looked at. For the record: Our shop does electrical and mechanical work on bikes and autos. We have the capability of diagnosing and fixing most issues. I also sent him this text after repeated calls from him requesting a refund: You will have to bring the bike up so we can look at what you are claiming is shorted out. It is under warranty. If you refuse to do that, you have given me no option to correct any issues.
I did not hear from him after that text, until I saw him out side of shop. He is still very aggravated with us. By his use of vulgarity towards us, and his slander of our shop, we would prefer him to not come into our shop. On that note: he can have anyone bring the bike into us, we will still honor our work and warranty it and all product until July 2016, at which point the product warranty will expire.
As far as his GPS unit: until it is determined that it is a failed product due to our install we will not take responsibility for it. ( Our system is ran and connected separately from the GPS and GPS was unaltered during install. ) Please note: both units may share the same fuse on bike ie: is there a blown fuse?
