February 21, The customer came in to drop off the car for saleAfter we completed the sign up process the customer asked if she could get the $on-line discount even though she did not sign up on lineWe gave her the $discount making the total amount due $Then after the customer negotiated the $discount the customer asked if she could pay 1/now and the other 1/in a weekI told her that we do not take payments for the Display Space but I would help her out this one time and allow her to pay the balance of $within days*** paid 1/of the $on February 21, leaving a balance of $
March 04, The customer came in and meet the buyer to buy the carThese are the same people we took for a test drive the day before on March 3rdOur customer was asking $8,for the car and the seller agreed to sell it to the buyers for $7,
Our customer still owed money on the car and did not have the title and needed to pay off the loan first in order to get the titleWe recommended, as we do to all of our customers, that she pay off the loan first, which takes four business days to get the title, and leave the car here on the lot with a sold sign on itThen after the customer receives the title the buyer can then take the carThis has been successfully working for all of our customers for years now, since when we first opened our lot
Our customer agreed with this and did not want the buyers to take the car without having the title in hand because there are all sorts of problems with this - no insurance, the buyers can't register the car to drive it, and a possibility of an accident and the potential buyer giving the car back to the seller damaged - and the list goes on and onThe customer said she also agreed with this as she has heard from her bank that this was not a good idea to let the potential buyer take the car without the title and that she should wait for the title to arrive before giving the car to the buyerThe customer/seller took a $deposit from the buyerThe following day our customer came in and attempted to drive the car off the lot to finish with the sale and not pay us the $balance that was dueI ran out and stopped her as she was driving away and told her she needed pay the $balance that she owedShe was furious that I caught her trying to take her car off the lot without paying usBottom line she paid the balance of $and took her car and left
March 13, The customer brought the Lexus back to the lot to Display it For Sale because the previous buyers did not buy the car because they did not want to wait the four days to get the title
March 18, On March 18th the customer came in and picked up her Lexus as she said she found someone to buy her car
I find it interesting that this customer said our company quoted her a cheaper price online when she did not sign up on line YET WE STILL GAVE HER THE $DISCOUNT
I also find it interesting that she said "The owner gave me wrong information on how to sell the vehicle when I had a buyer ready to buy meaning he made me lose a sale" I DID NOT MAKE HER LOSE HER SALE - SHE CHOOSE NOT TO ALLOW THE BUYERS TO TAKE HER CAR WIHOUT HAVING THE TITLE FIRST
Regarding this statement "He also told another possible car buyer that he could not take him on a test drive unless I was present and that's wrong I paid a test drive fee" - I reviewed this with the customer/seller as she had called us and told us someone wanted to drive her car but said they were told we would not allow them to drive the carI told her not to be concerned about this one person as this person is one who attempts to drive SEVERAL cars each time they come in to visit the lotI would like to point out that we did take two other potential buyers out for a test drive before it sold - just not this one person
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2017/03/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
On this company's website it has you put in the amount for which you will be asking for the price of your car and online told me 295$ and than there's a coupon for 45$Well I ended up up paying 355$ space fee plus 55$ test drive fee yes the owner did grant the coupon of 45$
On march 3rd I received a offer on my car for I took a deposit from the buyer and yes I went to take the car off the lot sat march 4th so I could do the deal this car lot is closed on Sunday's and closes every day at 5pm which was a big inconvenience *** did not have to chase me and I find it very rude he states I was furious I had to pay the remianing amount when I honestly I didn't know all the rules and paid he before I was even in my car*** than calls me the following Monday and asks if I sold the car I said not yet I am meeting them at bank well he gave me the huge spill on how he's been doing this for years and I should do the deal at his lotI got paranoid and listened to himSo I told the buyer to meet me at his lot to do the deal well his way was very complicating and wanted me to go buy fed ex packages and a cashiers check to over night the payoff on the loanWell while I was at his lot I called my bank and the banker laughed and said no you need to come in person to the bank to payoff otherwise it would take longer so he was wrongIn the meantime I had the buyer upset because I was not at the bank I was at private party cars the buyers came there and demanding their mo yes back and said they could not stand how the owner of private party cars was trying to do the deal when in reality the bank could of done it much more smoothly I had to give this people back their depositThan on march 13th a guy drove all the way to *** to test drive the car so I went in person to tell *** a gentlemen who works at private party cars to please take him on a test drive he will be here 30mins before you close well guess what *** the owner told this guy I had drive all the way from *** that he couldn't take him unless I the owner was there! What I paid a 55$ test drive fee so I called *** the following day and he said that same was looking at other cars so what why didn't you take him on a test drive I paid for thatAnd *** also didn't respond to why was I the only vechile listed on their website with out my contact number people were only given the potion to email on my carI feel highly ripped off and was very dissatisfied with this company
