All-Phase Construction Company

I began working with Joe D, All-Phase Construction Company, on 12/16/2020. As of 2/5/2020, I have paid Joe D $10,057 and work is not complete, work does meet expectations nor have windows been delivered.

Joe tiled my guest bathroom. The work is unacceptable and will have to be ripped out and redone. At the start of the guest bathroom, I told Joe the tile was not straight nor were the cutouts placed in an appropriate place. Joe agreed to fix the error, but took a shortcut by not removing enough tile. This led to a strip at eye-level with uneven width, so I had to change my design to accommodate his mistake. The shower tile is riddled with holes in the grout and chipped tiles. The shower head has detached from the wall because it was forced into a misplaced hole in the tile. Joe used fireplace mortar caulk to fill the shower corners that does not match my grout.

On 1/4/2020, I text Joe asking if I should order windows & requesting measurements. Joe responded via text 'Yes the windows are in the works with my window guy.He is still a week out." When I asked if he ordered the windows, Joe stated via text "I ordered them through him and should be ready within the next week or so." On 1/13/2020, I asked Joe for the balance for the windows/siding door and a date for install. Joe stated install is "Scheduled for Wednesday [1/15/2020] or Thursday [1/16/2020]." On 1/15/2020, Joe text asking to confirm if windows would have white grid lines. I stated I do want the white grid lines, but this shows the windows had not been ordered as he said they were on 1/4/2020. Joe continued to schedule install dates and push them back. He gave an install appointment of 12:00pm on 1/30/2020 and Joe did not show up to work nor communicate. As of 2/4/2020, Joe text windows could be picked up no sooner than 2/5/2020. I received a final invoice from Joe stating he would not deliver the windows.

I stopped all additional work on the home and Joe will not make repairs to his work.
