Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The roof has leaked every year since the new roof has been installed. A-did put a patch over leak but was not done properly and was told by A-employee that it was just a patch to temporarily fix the leak. It was recommended by A-employee that the roof be torn off and re-done and this was his recommendation to the owner. A-owner then stated he would not do so and he was done accommodating us.Have had multiple roof and home inspectors look at the roof and was told that the roof will continue to leak as it is now. I have photos of all leaks and damages to our woodwork, floors and blinds from roof leaking. If the roof in question has been ice guarded, then why is everyone telling us that it is NOT including A-employee It is a 2-pitch and not done as it is supposed to be(It is my understanding that the owner of the company, has not been on the roof to examine any of these issues.)Velux skylights were installed and Velux, themselves, have come to inspect the installation of the windows. I have a written statement from the manufacturer that indeed the windows were not installed properly along with photos. I also have statements from a home inspector and a rooferNowhere on my initial complaint was a mention of mold. Since A-would like to mention the mold issue, we will also point out that the said pictures he mentioned were photos taken PRIOR to the installation of the new roof. We obviously knew we had issues, hence hiring a roofer. The mold issue was due to improper ventilation of the roof (of the main roof) and should have been corrected when new roof was installed. Based once again on roofing contractors and home inspectors the roof is still not vented properly. As for the mold on the shingles, we did NOT state mold at any time. We stated algae.I have been in contact with Owens Corning, myself, I have emails from initial contactThey provided me with the installation of their materials and how it is to be installed. They are waiting for pictures from us to determine if the shingles are still under warranty. As we had been told by A-employee, there were different types of shingles used. They stated that they will not be able to guarantee the shingle if different types were used but until seeing pics they did not know for sure Again, the use of different types of shingles has been told to us by others as well. We will not tear the roof up for the pics to Owens at this time until this has been resolved.*** placed a call to my husband, prior to his fax submission and informed us that he is not taking care of any of the issues (as per my email statement to Revdex.com). My husband asked him once more if that was his final decision. He then stated that he wanted to come and look at it. My husband then called me and I told him. “Get a specific day and time that *** is coming out and tell him that there will be a camera present”. He has told us on many occasions he was going to come out and never followed upI was planning on taking off work and being present so that I could photograph and write down his findings as he went over it. Filming him redoing area was never mentioned. As stated in our complaint, we do NOT want A-roofing to touch our roof. We are asking for the cost to have our roof done properly.
Regards,
