Review: On Apr 9 2013, All Plumbing made a service call to my residence to repair my hot water heater. All Plumbing incorrectly diagnosed the problem, failed to fix the problem, and then failed to respond to my queries, forcing me to call another company. The new company ([redacted] Plumbing) quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad sensor, not a bad gas thermostat.
The unnecessary new thermostat I had to order (All Plumbing wouldn't order it) from a third party was $346.49, including overnight shipping. After All Plumbing put it on, the system had the same problem, indicating the thermostat was not the problem. Within 3 minutes of examiing my system, [redacted] Plumbing diagnosed the problem as a bad sensor, adding that should have been the first thing anyone examining the system checked.
On Jul 1 2013, I wrote All Plumbing, via registered mail (copy available upon request) , relaying the sequence of events and providing receipts, requesting reimbursement for the part plus shipping. I did not request reimbursement for the additional time/effort required to fix the problem, or for their lack of response to my queries. All Plumbing did not respond to the letter.
I paid for the first service call by credit card, the credit card company disputed the charge with All Plumbing, All Plumbing didn't respond, and the card company reimbursed the charge. That was the only payment made to All Plumbing.
The most frustrating part was All Plumbing's lack of a response. If they would have told me they couldn't fix it, and recommended a company that could, I would have understood that. But they did the worst possible thing by ceasing communication. It was terrible customer service. I've used them before and was satisfied.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement of $356.49. And I'll provide the gas thermostat that was removed.
