All-Point Mechanical

Review: All Point Mechanical/[redacted] was hired to install the Heating and Air Conditioning for a new home located at [redacted] PA [redacted] for $11,500.00. The contractor was paid a down payment of $5000.00 on October 4th 2012 and work on the home did not begin until July of 2013. Contractor had to be chased around for him to even begin the installation. When the contractor finally did appear he would work for an hour and then make excuses to leave. The contractor failed to follow the specifications per blue prints and the contract which has resulted in a failed inspection. Furnace was running with no filter which can cause damage to the system. Heat loss information was never provided to the inspector. Occupancy permit has been denied. HIC has also been made aware that he is not a registered contractor with them. A Civil complaint was filed on 10/23/2013 but Magistrate ruled in favor of All Point Mechanical. Final payment has not been made due to contractor not completing job.Desired Settlement: Contractor needs to upgrade insulation that has caused the inspection to fail and provide needed heat loss information to the inspector to gain the occupancy permit.
