All Pro A/C was never contacted directly after the intial call.  Once we were contacted directly I personally went there and found the problem and fixed it at no charge. I found out they called the technician directly to fix system. All Pro never received a payment nor did we deposit any...

payment from customer. I was very nice not to charge to fix, if we were called directly this would never have happened. I would have been willing to work something out with customer had they called office directly. All Pro A/C was unaware that there was a problem a week after 1st call.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.paperwork for permit was left at my residence and items requested by contractor were provided and picked up following day. Attempt made to obtain permit was done but needed an additional form and application. Notarized. These were left for me and promptly returned next day. Contractor has all papers and will go back Monday for permit per text conversation. I will consider this case fully closed when permit is issued and work has passed inspection.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Just wanted to let you know that the paper work for the permit will be in [redacted]'s mailbox by 10am Tuesday morning 3/*/17.He will need to produce one piece of information before it can be submitted. The information will be there for him inside paper work.Than either he can leave paperwork for me to file at Nassau county,or he can submit himself.Thank you,Andrew H[redacted]All Pro A/C ###-###-####

Review: When installing the air conditioning units, the service provided was in inferior quality and poorly performed. After calling the service provider directly the day after, they had promised to return and re-do the work properly. Calls were made daily/weekly and monthly since the service was initially provided on April *, 2013. Two attempts were made from the provider to come out and each time they stay for a short time and told us that they didn't carry the necessary equipment to re-do the work. After following up with them for more than 4 months, they claim that they have to service new customers first before they can come over to re-do the work. Calls and messages made as recently as the end of August were not returned. There is no attempt from the service provider to fix the inferior work initially performed.Desired Settlement: An apology and to finish the work. This is truly unacceptable for a Revdex.com rated firm with an A rating. There is no accountability and truly disrespectful not to return calls from unsatistified clients.

Response:

The job was complete and units turned on. We did not supply or furnish material. Another company started and did not complete job. All pro connected refrigerant lines and electric. We started up system and operation fine. Customer says he is not happy with the way job looks. For the price we gave him and what we discussed before job is what he paid for. (was to hook up existing ) All Pro has no complaints in the past four years plus sometimes it is hard to please customers but we try our best [redacted]

The job was incomplete and the company had promised to come back to try to fix them. After two quick visits where employees of the firm claimed to not have the proper equipment for the work required, my follow up calls to the office were never returned. Furthermore, connection for one of the split AC unit does not work properly. The customer service is absolutely unacceptable for a company with A rating on Revdex.com. The cost of the job is irrelevant to the quality of service. Just because the job is relatively small for the company does not mean that I deserve any less care or quality with the work I paid for.

Review: This contractor installed over 10k worth of heating equipment post Sandy. After installation they needed to be called back as it was not working properly. During the year, I notified the contractor to come back as it appears the humidifier unit is not working properly. The heating unit also seems not be be producing the level of heat as anticipated, now that the weather has gotten colder. Their one year warranty is soon coming to a close and despite numerous calls requesting service, no service call has resulted. When an actual appointment was set, they did not show up. They did not call to apologize , try to schedule another appointment, or reply to my last two calls requesting service. I have only decided to file this complaint after these attempts as prior requests were unsuccessful.Desired Settlement: They have only one opportunity to fix this. If they fail to do so satisfactorily, I will not waste any further time. The remedy being considered is to bring in another licensed contractor and bring suit against them to recover costs and damages.

Finish the Job

Response:

System was installed after huricane Sandy. Customer specified equipment he wanted. Job was complete and no complaints untill this past month. Service techs from All Pro we're sent to see issue. At time heat was operating fine. Customer stated humidifier did not work. Humidifier was wired to manufactors specs. I personally went to job a week later

To see what was wrong again. He stated heat is not working. Again hot air was comming out of vents and system was working properly. At that point the humidifier conversation came up and [redacted] was very nasty and I felt threatened that he would not let me leave to get a filter that I thought may have been clogged. He started yelling at myself an mike outside his house. I then left feeling threatened. The job was complete paid infull and signed by [redacted] that he was satisfied with all work that was completed at his house.

Review: contractor was to apply for permit. permit has not ben applies for. I have asked numerous times for permit status, and also application number for permit so I could follow up. there has been no communication of these requested items. contractor sent emails stating permit applied for, but no documentation to this has been provided and time has come that permit should have been issuedDesired Settlement: I want permit applied for and I want permit application number so I can follow up with town on permit status

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Company replied 1/**/16 to Revdex.com that permit information would be sent within 14 days. 14 days from reply was 1/**/16, which I gave additional time until 2/*/16. I sent email to Andrew H[redacted] 1/**/16 and 1/**/16 stating that I would provide any needed documents on my end to facilitate permit. Response to this was on 2/*/16 after I inquired about permit status from 1/**/16 email. in 2/*/16 email, Andrew stated that permit info would be provided by 2/*/16 (wednesday). I again called and left voicemail today, 2/3/16, to inquire about permit status without reply. As of 2/*/16 promised permit application information has not been transmitted to me in a time period greater than that stated in original response. I request that the permit application information be communicated to me.

Review: I contacted this company on July 30, 2015 due to an issue with my air conditioner. Many times when it went to turn on, the breaker would flip off. We were unsure why this was happening. I was told they would send a tech to my home. The tech came to my house and 'diagnosed' the issue within 2 minutes and proceeded to repair it by replacing our 20amp breaker with a new 40amp breaker, charge $325. The tech, who was a subcontractor but never indicated as such to me, gave us his cell number in case the issue was not resolved. He handed me a receipt with All Pro's name on it and his cell number, so I assumed this was normal.

On August 12, 2015 the breaker started tripping again, I called our tech's cell and he came by and again "diagnosed" the issue saying we needed a booster and capacitor on the system. $125 paid and a receipt given to me with All Pro at the top. He stated that if this didn't fix the issue it MUST be the compressor and he would replace that via warranty and I'd only have to pay for install less the $125 for this repair.

2 days later the breaker was tripping all over again. Our tech (who I still thought worked directly for the company as i'd not been told otherwise) ordered a new part but was unable to fit us in for repair until August 18 2015. He came that day and replaced the compressor and contactor and assured me the issue was resolved. $655 again on an All Pro receipt

On August 20th, the breaker was tripping again! Finally I called the main number for All Pro since i'd lost all confidence in our tech. The owner, Drew, proceeded to tell me he'd had no idea about the repairs on Aug 12th or Aug 18th. He then informed me that our tech was a subcontractor, which I told Drew I was unaware of. He said he would work to resolve the issue and get back to me that day.....but no call.

On Friday August 21st our AC would not turn on at all. I called Drew at 6:30am stating we needed a repair ASAP and to discuss a refund for all of the work done to the unit ($1105 in total) that didn't repair it. That morning when he called Drew was RUDE and Disrespectful to me. He blame me for calling the tech directly saying that was dumb and he's 'never heard of that before'. I explained that because all 3 receipts i'd received were from All Pro that I had no way of knowing this tech was a subcontractor and taking money from him.

On a positive note, Drew did come to repair our unit that afternoon and diagnosed the actual problem and repaired it free of charge.

However, discussions of refunding us our money for unnecessary work quickly dissolved when he became angry and confrontational with my husband in front of our children. My husband walked him outside and they had words. Drew said multiple times he would call us on Monday Aug 24th to resolve the issue. No phone call. I called him Monday Aug 24 at 2pm and left him a message and again on Tuesday Aug 25th leaving a nice message asking him to please call so we could work out a resolution. He is not calling me back and has not refunded any of our money.Desired Settlement: IF he would listen to me, he would know we only want the $655 back for the compressor since we likely did need a larger breaker and since he didn't charge us for the actual repair (which took about an hour or less).

Just looking for a fair resolution in this matter. It's not my fault that neither Drew (owner) or Brian (tech) told me he was a subcontractor. It's not my fault that Brian is taking business away from Drew. That's on Drew as the business owner and I should not be penalized my money because Drew is unaware of what his subcontractors are doing on his company's behalf.

[Your Answer Here]

I was never made aware that the technician coming to my house did not work directly with All Pro AC and was a subcontractor. Brian (the tech) provided his phone number on the All Pro AC receipt so I assume this was something that was done regularly so that the same tech could see a job from start to finish. Drew (the owner) never told me he was sending a subcontractor to my home, nor did Brian (the tech) tell me he was a subcontractor. My assumption was that because the receipts I received were from All Pro that Drew was aware of all of these interactions. My payments went to Brian, but I had no way of knowing they weren't going to All Pro AC. It is not my job as the consumer to keep track of this, it is Drew's responsibility as an owner to know what his subcontractors are doing with his receipts and under his business name. Drew is the one, as the owner, who owes me my refund. Then it should be Drew's problem to get money back from his technician. After the repair was made, Drew told me he would call after the weekend was over and he had time to talk to Brian. He never called. I left him 2 voicemails, one on Monday afternoon and one on Tuesday afternoon. Both voicemails asked him to call me so we could discuss a resolution. Neither phone call was returned.
