Here is the email from Bruce *** offering a refund on 2/24/- more than months after the project began and AFTER the builder had been contacted As you can see by the email string, there was little to no urgency to get the matter resolved My attempts to reach Bruce *** after this last email were REPEATEDLY unsuccessful I was then told by AquaDry that my refund check had been put in the mail, TWICE! Mr*** contacted us about a leaking shower. On inspection we informed him that we could either replace the entire shower door unit or try a cheaper fix (with no guarantee that it would be a permanent fix) to replace the door sweep and recaulk the showerMr *** is a employee of the
*** and offered us tickets, that he said he got for free, in settlement for the work done. We also indicated that if the cheap fix didn’t work we would credit the value of the tickets ($342) against future labor costs involved in installing the replacement unitIn a few weeks the shower started to leak again and Mr*** insisted it be replaced with same unit that the builder Ryland homes installed originally. We spent considerable time working with the home builder who identified two suppliers who may have installed the original shower. One was bankrupt and the other would insisted that they install the unit themselves. We conveyed this information to Mr *** who we believe contacted the vendor and had them install an new unitGiven that subsequent events prevented us from installing the replacement shower we had no future revenues to offset the original cost against and do not feel any obligation (morally or legally) to provide a refund. Our man hours and related costs expended in the original fix and finding him the replacement unit far exceeded the the $in question
