Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2018/01/04) */
In response to the complaint. We were called out to replace rear gutter on the house due to the fact it had all but fallen off. The old gutter had fallen off due to severely rotted fascia from water damage. We called on another contractor to...
replace the fascia which he did same day of gutter install. The homeowner explained to me she had the same issue repaired in the front of the house the previous year and new sectioned gutter installed that was leaking at every seam. We discussed it and agreed all new gutter would be a good resolution. After the install I received email of drip concerns. I responded and yes it was 16 days not 14 before I had my guys investigate. My installers verified with me via phone call and photos that everything we installed was in place as it should be per industry standard under all the drip edge. Based on that fact and my knowledge of construction and gravity concluded the water must be getting under the drip edge prior to the gutters to be the only explanation for the water dripping from behind the gutters. I am not a professional roofer, nor was there any reason for me to know there were roof issues. What we installed was done correctly and double checked to be functioning properly. Unfortunate circumstances make it appear we did something wrong or shady but I stand behind that is not the case.
